Letter # 1 to the Governing Body of Jehovah's witnesses

here is my first letter i posted to the governing body.

i also hope that brothers on the writing committee who may be lurking on this site (and have some clout) read my letter and bring in change to this very flawed policy around confession of sins.. enjoy.

Your letter is very well written and you made some excellent points.

Unfortunately, the GB will never see the letter. Even if they did read the letter, they NEVER will change their policies unless it benefits them. I worked with a true 100% narcissist several years back and did quite a bit of research on this personality disorder. The GB and some of the Elders and CO's fit the description of a narcissist to a tee. One of the signs of narcissism is, the person will never admit that they are the one who has the problem nor do they believe that they need to make changes. Note, in all of the JW talks and dramatizations (videos), it is ALWAYS the rank and files fault. Take for example the 1975 debacle. WT did give talks backing up the fact that 1975 would be a game changer. When it did not take place, they blamed the rank and file for the decisions they made. When children are abused and scarred for life, due to child molestation, and the GB shows no remorse, how much lower can you get? If you can do that to people, you can do anything.

New Spiritually Weak Label: Not Using Tablet/iPhone

with last night's meeting it became official: here in the states is a must to keep up with 'jehovah's org' that one fully jumps on board with this tablet/iphone crap.. so, now, all of us that up to this point have refused to follow the wtbts in their electronic/wireless revolution will deal with the browbeating from the 'spiritual' ones.. already receiving lots of grief from hubby and rest of the family/close friends when seen at the meetings with paper publications.

My spouse used to bring his IPad to the meetings (before it was cool...new light) and get dirty looks from others. Now it's all the rage! WT doesn't want to print anymore (it costs them $$$$). Hopefully, the IPad push from WT will and has had the users logging on to all the glowing positive things about WT, via the internet . If you want to see all the Positive things about WT, just give them a quick Google search. It's not good/positive! Good for us, not so much for WT. Keep up the good work WT, you're digging your own grave.

reading the recent thread about first talks reminded me of when i was new on the school.. i was around 8 and had to read the chapter that mentions 'sucking king's breasts'.

we got there late and somebody else was giving it.

boy was i secretly relieved.

I never chose to read my kids stories from the Bible Story book. They were too violent and had too many things that I had to explain to my little kids (things that should not be discussed with a 3-4 year old).

For things that "shouldn't be mentioned", WT certainly speaks a lot about sex. Things that make ya go...hmmm!

urghhh... what a disgusting study!7 a conflict of loyalties may arise when a close relative is disfellowshipped.

for example, a sister named anne received a telephone call from her disfellowshipped mother.

the mother wanted to visit anne because she felt pained by her isolation from the family.

Let's hope more still ins felt this way yesterday. WT is digging their own grave. The comments on higher education, the zone meeting about a year and a half ago (Tony Morris talk), the money grab, the Bethel layoffs. It has to be having a tremendous impact on WT.

its a rainy day and have been reading posts.. i would like to respond to the comments of those still in, post to those who have decided to leave.. what ever you have been told or may think about what will happen without "the truth" , is not true.

my life without the wbts is fantastic.

no stress, live in a beautiful place, great new friends and total peace of mind.

WT is a doom and gloom cult. Happiness is only for the future, not today. We did not realize how serious a problem this is within WT. The further away from them you get, the more clear you can see it. Life is good (even with it's challenges). Enjoy everyday!
