I guess Serena Williams gets a little more attention then the average person. She's a bit more "special" than the rest of us. She always pisses me off with her verbal praises for Jahs assistance. Loved her photo of her and her Sister wrapped in the american flag. She's the perfect JW.....a HYPOCRITE! -

Your letter is very well written and you made some excellent points.
Unfortunately, the GB will never see the letter. Even if they did read the letter, they NEVER will change their policies unless it benefits them. I worked with a true 100% narcissist several years back and did quite a bit of research on this personality disorder. The GB and some of the Elders and CO's fit the description of a narcissist to a tee. One of the signs of narcissism is, the person will never admit that they are the one who has the problem nor do they believe that they need to make changes. Note, in all of the JW talks and dramatizations (videos), it is ALWAYS the rank and files fault. Take for example the 1975 debacle. WT did give talks backing up the fact that 1975 would be a game changer. When it did not take place, they blamed the rank and file for the decisions they made. When children are abused and scarred for life, due to child molestation, and the GB shows no remorse, how much lower can you get? If you can do that to people, you can do anything.

New Spiritually Weak Label: Not Using Tablet/iPhone
by Doubtfully Yours inwith last night's meeting it became official: here in the states is a must to keep up with 'jehovah's org' that one fully jumps on board with this tablet/iphone crap.. so, now, all of us that up to this point have refused to follow the wtbts in their electronic/wireless revolution will deal with the browbeating from the 'spiritual' ones.. already receiving lots of grief from hubby and rest of the family/close friends when seen at the meetings with paper publications.
damn it!!!

My spouse used to bring his IPad to the meetings (before it was cool...new light) and get dirty looks from others. Now it's all the rage! WT doesn't want to print anymore (it costs them $$$$). Hopefully, the IPad push from WT will and has had the users logging on to all the glowing positive things about WT, via the internet . If you want to see all the Positive things about WT, just give them a quick Google search. It's not good/positive! Good for us, not so much for WT. Keep up the good work WT, you're digging your own grave. -

Funny stories about risque bible stories
by neat blue dog inreading the recent thread about first talks reminded me of when i was new on the school.. i was around 8 and had to read the chapter that mentions 'sucking king's breasts'.
we got there late and somebody else was giving it.

I never chose to read my kids stories from the Bible Story book. They were too violent and had too many things that I had to explain to my little kids (things that should not be discussed with a 3-4 year old).
For things that "shouldn't be mentioned", WT certainly speaks a lot about sex. Things that make ya go...hmmm!
