  Once you mess with peoples most precious possession, the family, there WILL eventually be hell to pay. I think it is happening and will get worse for WT over time. We are living in a more acceptable time and our children are learning to accept what our generation did not. The saying, "what goes around, comes around" will affect the WT.

  Great post. I did the same thing that you did. I Goggled the word cult and every bullet point matched the WT, to a tee. Once my spouse and I started researching our own religion, the layers of the onion began to peel away. No wonder WT doesn't want the R&F to read "apostate" material....IT'S TRUE!

  he said that the parents of df or inactive do not have right to help there child why not?

  his answer its above there pay grade.

  he also said another witness helped this young lady she was a sister so another person can help your child but you cannot he said let jehovah help them.audeince dead silent..

  not one but four witnesses at my door

  having not had a witness knock on my door since i left over 13 years ago i was surprised a few sunday mornings ago to find two young sisters who i had not seen before at my door.

  it was not long before their husbands who were witnessing at my neighbors joined the conversation.

  the conversation went on for some time so i am keeping the experience as brief as i can.. mind you with all what has been happening lately with the australian royal commission here in australia i had been looking forward to having a discussion with any witness who comes within earshot.

  Unfortunately, they will watch the video and just go on with their "head bobbing," agreeing with everything played out in the video.

  It seems they only way a JW see's thing for what they really are, is when it happens to them.

  Funny! I can picture quite a few JW's doing that. The "spiritual" outside looks better than what's on the inside. Reminds me of the scripture that says, "whitewashed graves full of dead mens bones." Don't let em fool ya.

  Elders ,Ego Trips ,Personality Clashes ,and bringing down the Tall Poppy Syndrome.

  how often did you see / witness anything relating to these traits with the elders.?.

  personally i have known an elder who was taken down by other elders in his circuit because they thought he was getting to big for his boots , and was enjoying his popularity in the circuit and it was in their opinion going to his head.. he had speaking parts on ca`s and was enjoying his popularity.

  the other elders in the circuit obviously didn`t like the attention he was receiving or his inflated ego , and as a collective group cut him down to size.. simply by removing him from the " in " crowd of elders dealing with ca`s and not giving him any more talks or parts at assembly`s .. at the congregational level i have seen the same sort of thing , where an elder gets puffed up with pride / thinks more of himself than he ought to , and gets cut down by the rest of the body of elders.. last but not least , is the elder who has a very strong domineering nature who rides all over the rest of the elder arrangement , simply because he is a bully and always gets his own way on doing things in the congregation.. so is this religion .jw , an arrangement by god ?

  James Jack. I don't know how you do it. We have a hard time driving by a KH, much less attending one. I really feel for those that are stuck in.

  15? Not sure about this area this perv is in but in the US under age is 17. What a complete pervert. A typical JW too. It is always someone else fault, not theirs. This guy needs to go to jail for being just a plain dumbas*, along with the crime he has committed.
  

  How many live have been ruined by these "spiritual" men? I feel horrible for the victim and her family. What a terrible ordeal.

  my heart goes out for all people stuck in all high control groups, either with insight into the falsehood of their beliefs or none.. to remain a member whilst knowing it false however, must be soul destroying.. my question is, would you carry on living the lie if you discovered that we get one life, one go at existing.

  it's short, it's fragile and nobody in 100 years will care we even existed..... .......if you came to that realisation would you quit?.

  .......if you had children, would you leave in order to set them an example in strength and appreciation of the short time we enjoy?.

  I think a lot of the older ones know it is BS but feel they are just too old to do something else or they have no friends on the outside. They feel that they just can not start over.

  Eventually all the Elders get taken down a peg, when they put em out to pasture. Like I've said before, the WT uses you up and spits you out. Elders don't quite feel the impact until it happens to THEM.
