  i may not have put this in the correct spot, but i do think it's scandalous the way time gets counted now.

  i've seen a cart at the edge of our farmer's market, never anyone close enough to talk.

  yesterday was a drizzly day and there were two carts set up, covered in plastic, "witnessing" on their own.

  Yes...it is the MOST important message! It is a joke! If it was so important they would have TV, Radio ads and billboards. It just goes to show you how REALLY important it is.

  My parents would roll over in their graves if they could see their religion now.

  Elder's remark about contributions not being made

  i am still in and was assigned to collect the contribution after the meeting.

  i checked the boxes with another brother and there was nothing inside.

  no contributions were made that day.

  i asked an old jw friend of mine why so many baptized individuals leave the jw religion.

  "did it ever occur to you, old friend, that maybe they know something that you don't know and have valid reasons for leaving?

  ", i asked.. his response set me back for an answer.

  The complete lack of love drove us out. Once we were out, we learned TTATT. So the lack of love and the hypocrisy lead us out and TTATT is keeping us out. NEVER to return!

  " My mum got invited to the one were the new bibles were released and bathed in the "elite" status she had upon her return."

  Oh yes...they love, love, love to come home from the meeting with new info and let all know that they attended. It makes them feel so special and they are not quiet about it. We have friends who go every year. It is quite the status symbol to come back with new info from the Golden Annual meeting. What a humble people!

  I am so sorry to hear of this. How stressful. Take a deep breath and don't worry about all of the judgemental JW's. Take care of your wife, she is the most important concern for you right now. Put everything else on the back burner and concentrate on your wife. Let your mom continue to help with the kids. Thank goodness you have her. Keep us posted on your wife's condition. You are in our thoughts.

  over a month ago, the associated press in minneapolis reported that counterfeit pills were found at prince’s home.

  some contained powerful opioid fentanyl, a synthetic drug 50 times stronger than heroin found in dozens of pills.

  these and other mislabeled drugs were found in luggage belonging to the late music star.

  If you are a JW and have money and some influence, they turn a blind eye to anything you do. It's all in how much you donate and who you know.

  Prince was great friends with Larry Graham and I am sure Larry is a hefty contributor. "We don't want to piss ole Larry off." lol

  Question about an elder and if I am crazy

  ok so i have a question.

  i was a very, very true believer until i saw the child molesters in my hall and how that whole thing was handled.. my husband is older than i am and had been an elder for 12 when we married.

  so fast forward to 06, we are in a hall where i thought all the elders were ok at the worst and great at the best.
