so we have all heard the worldwide reports about khalls being sold off and congregations being amalgamated etc.... of course, jws are being told that these actions are a sign of "just how much the work is progressing, and how jehovah is blessing the increase and expansion!".
i can share the following from my part of the world too!.
in perth, western australia the following has occurred.. three "new" congregations have been formed!
Maybe they will sell the KH to a church. They sold our KH to a church. Interesting thing....I can not enter a church for a wedding, funeral, etc. or do business with a church but WT can sell a KH to a church. You just can't make this stuff up!!!!
The hypocrisy is staggering!!!

The rank and file are afraid of anything anti WT. Most are so detached from the "real world", it is hard to function and they become misfits. Our family has NO "worldly experience." No 8-5 job dealing with others that are non JW's. They are comfortable with WT telling them how to think and what to think. It's just easier for them. They are scared of their own shadows and anything "worldly" is petrifying. Sad but true!
just when you think you've seen it all comes another interesting use of a kingdom hall.a young man serenades his girlfriend with a song (possibly a watchtower song) from the stage through a microphone and backed by recorded music.
then he steps off the stage and gets down on one knee and proposes as he pulls out a ring from his coat pocket.
the large projector screen flashes up behind them with a picture of a sapphire and diamond ring.cameras capture the joyous moment as she accepts and they lock together in a loving hug.
We were not even allowed to play a "worldly" song at our wedding without a disapproving look. I guess if they are line dancing at the Kingdom Halls and playing rock music and dancing at the Assembly Halls now, why not.
My two cents....they should have just said their vows right then and there. They had everyone there and were at the KH. Sure would have saved a lot of money. lol

WT has used this tactic for years. I believe they use it to keep all the dubbies in line. You should hear how fearful some of our relatives are of things like this.

in recent years, the word bullying has been thrown around a lot, and often misused by instigators and subtle bullies themselves.
in this picture we learn that your loving family who wants to continue sharing a family tradition with you, who hands you a beautifully wrapped present with a smile on their face, is in fact bullying you.
This is funny!!! Someone is trying to do something nice by giving the JW a gift and that is "Satan being a bully." The stories that I could tell (and many on here could tell too) about Elders and CO's downright bullying members that they are supposed to be "shepherding."
Countless talks from the GB that were downright bullying and insulting (remember the 23 yr old MS talk?). That was a direct insult and bullying from Anthony Morris. A shameful talk that should have NEVER been given. The list goes on and on.

a week later while overhearing a bible study, the conductor was asked if god really has given us “free will”.

The genuine response from a cult member. They would drink the kool aid too. It's easy to say that when you have never had a gun put to your head. Ask someone who has really had a gun put to their head. Easier said than done.
Most of these "men" would cower in the corner if real persecution came knocking at their door.
