There is enough hate and hurtfulness in the world. I have healed from abuse and am moving on. I won't be on this forum again either. Life is too short.

Our family? Some shun us unless there is "family business." Other family members, they have limited contact with us. We seem to have to reach out to them. The "warm and fuzzy" is GONE.

Yes, it was a hard one to watch. CO's being wined and dined by the pool. All the "special ones" from NY headquarters. The red carpet was rolled out big time for these men and their wives. We noticed it many years ago. We went home, to our little humble home and worked our jobs, to pay our way. Proud to say, we are still paying our own way and so are our children. I wouldn't have it any other way. Everything we have we have worked hard for and earned.

Yes, we are watching our elderly family members, work into their 60's and 70's. I mean hard labor work. They pioneered, back in the day. Did everything that they were told. NOW? They are tired and bitter. They won't admit it but they were duped!

my wife and her sister are members of the congregation for 40+ years.
to be fair it was short notice but we had the showing and visitation and only about 12 out of 120 of the congregation showed up and only 1 elder!

My spouse and I have witnessed, throughout the years, several "prominent" JW's passing away. The funerals and eulogy go much deeper then the average JW. The amount of people who show up, the talk and even the little brochure they give out at the funeral, go into much more detail. It's who you are in this cult.

My spouse was laid off from his job several years ago. Our service group leader was the ONLY Eldur who asked how we were doing. Not one other Eldur inquired. The only thing they asked is where he was. He missed meetings because he had to take work where he could, to feed his family.
I am actually VERY grateful for this, it was one of the very first things that made me question this cult being "Jehovah's organization." Thank you WT and your litte WT nazi's!!!
