guess some introduction would be nice, before anything.

Hi, just wanted to say welcome to the forum. Yes I totally know what it's like to be scared to come on here. I was terrified when I first found this place, but it's filled with kind people who only want to offer help or suggestions. No matter what you choose to do you'll be supported. www.jwfacts.com for me really helped a lot. Take it slow and go at your own pace on what you're comfortable with. I now have my freedom and kind of feel a little silly that I used to be so scared just to research my own religion. That for me shows how controlled I was. Why should anyone have to be afraid to simply reach out to understand their own religion better?

OMG those signs are HILARIOUS! I totally believed the first one when I saw it, and lets be honest, if that actually turned out to be a real new teaching and they added a third tier to the Generation chart would any of us actually be surprised at this point?

Is it just me or are the street sign, road,car verification excessive?

i must go through six of new verification screens on average before verifying.

i seriously try harder and harder, i don't know if we include the tiny little piece of sign or not.

i have done both,and still get another screen.

I totally thought I was the only one having problems with this and felt so stupid when it kept giving me more screens to click thinking I was messing up. Whew, I don't feel so dumb now. HAHA!

Audio machine and the satanic band WT used!

it's been braught out in other places before that the band audiomachine' song eternal flame was used in the last video of the convention this year.

but do you know that the band has several albums and in these albums are songs with titles that could easily be construed as satanic or pagan!

some of these song titles are: hells battalion, legions of doom, tree of life, god of lankhmar, and the heavens shall tremble.

I can remember my sister saying how EVIL Harry Potter movies are, now here the GB are using a song played by the same group who also used their songs in the Harry Potter movies. UGH my eyes are about to fall out of my head for rolling them so hard!!!

I saw these two JW ladies slowly start putting literature on their car no cart in sight. I'm wondering if they are going rouge not having permission for a cart and want to be lazy anyway. LOL!

I'm getting baptized

i know i've started similar topics before but this time i'm serious.

my parents have been constantly pressuring me and after yesterday's watchtower study they asked me if i was going to be baptized this summer... and i said yes.

i probably should have thought about it more before making a final decision, but they're pretty much forcing me to do it anyway.

I think you're old enough to know your parents only have conditional love for you now anyway. The cult will always come first for them. You will ALWAYS be second. Just like I was to my parents. They were horrible to me the entire time I lived with them growing up, I got baptized and now I'm out of that cult and they shun me. It's stupid drama to deal with, but you get used to it and move on. The way your family sounds now I think you'll be better off without them later on. Only a short time now till you're an adult, hang in there, and then get the hell out when you turn 18. Trust me, the freedom you will have will be totally worth it even if your family shuns you.

Evolution: The Deal Breaker

first off i do believe there are some evidences of evolution or i should probably say adaptation.

i do believe this exists in various forms.. however the deal breaker for me with evolution is the chick or egg problem.

there are tons of theories that get passed around as proof of evolution however these are usually examples much further down the evolutionary chain.. what i mean is let's start at the beginning!
