That should be a secret hand, skillfully hidden to the common people of which I luckily am a member.

Who elects Governing Body members?
by Lostandfound inwho elects the new gb members as needed, who is in charge, what happens when no anointed to fill vacancies?
change so everyone partakes?
in time gb members likely to be teenagers, i was baptised over 50 years ago, seemed to be faith based reasons for membership, what happened to paradie earth, jesus, and not just money, what is there in it to make you want to join, not appalling videos, appalling gb members pleading for money.

It's now okay to applaud when someone is reinstated?
by eyeuse2badub inanyone else notice that in the video where the sister was reinstated after many years of freedom, that the congregation applauded at the announcement of her reinstatement?
it been a few years since i was an elder, but when i was, we were instructed by the co that it was "not appropriate" to applaud when the announcement of a reinstatement is made from the platform.
his words, "because the one being reinstated is only doing what they should be doing!".

What was forbidden yesterday may be allowed today... but not tomorrow. Depending on which way the wind is blowing.

A Comment by Lieu Made It Obvious That I Could Not Be A JW in 2016
by TMS inthe following comment by lieu on another topic shows me that i would be totally frustrated, actually exasperated, stifled and depressed in the modern form of jwdom: "therein lies the real problem billy, no one is paying any attention at regular meetings let alone conventions.
it's too boring, intentionally i think.
humans aren't hardwired to sit through hours of lecture with no interactions.

Hopefully the witnesses in Russia will not have to face criminal charges and understand that we can love our neighbour without being part of a cult. -

Hopfully the Watchtower will have to face up not only to liquidation but to confiscation odf properties too. Sorry for the witnesses in Russia but the fact of remaining under the rule of a cult may prove to be dangerous nowadays.
Hopefully the witnesses in Russia will not have to face criminal charges and understand that we can love our neighbour without being part of a cult.

By leaving the JW.org forever I have regained both freedom and self esteem. This is by far the two best jackpots.

Who are the Antitypical Pharisees today???

I am surprised that no one has yet commented on this post. Regarding me I can see one, two, three, four, five, six, seven... yes seven Pharisees-in-chief by connecting me to the website of an American wellknown cult. Their faces, their faked smiles and their mannerism leave me in no state of uncertainty as to their identity and do not encourage me to return under their rule. I prefer by far to be shunned, even by some family members. It's not my problem, it's theirs.
