This is proof that jdubs are being persecuted and Satan is indeed in control over the earth. The end is getting so close now.
Are we not ready to do more to serve jehovah during these final moments of this wicked system?
judge sanctions jehovah's witnesses.
imposes $4000-a-day penalty for not producing documents in sex-abuse case.
by dorian hargrove, june 24, 2016. a san diego superior court judge has ordered the church of jehovah's witnesses, also known as the watchtower bible and tract society of pennsylvania, to pay $4000 a day for every day that it fails to produce documents requested in a civil lawsuit brought by former parishioner, osbaldo padron, who claims a church elder sexually abused him when he was seven years old.. in a june 23 ruling, expected to be made final today, judge richard strauss admonished the church for willfully ignoring a court order to produce all documents associated with a 1997 body of elders letter that church leaders sent to parishes around the world in a quest to learn about sexual abuse of children by church leaders.. over the course of the past year, the watchtower society and its lawyers have fought hard to keep the letter confidential, claiming that turning over the documents would infringe on the privacy of those mentioned in the letter that were not associated with the case.. in march 2015, the church turned over a heavily redacted version of the letter.

beards have been talked about a lot, especially with the recent wt article, but what about other types of non-mustache facial hair, like goatees chinbeards and soul patches?.
in my own experience i've seen a white young man with big handlebars and a soul patch run mikes, do literature and give talks not too long ago.
i saw a black older man with a sizeable soul patch as the focus of one shot in a jw.org video about an annual meeting a few years ago.
Barrold, wonder if It's the same dude? Or perhaps they just use it an excuse and multiple ones do it.
Think this guy was in Oklahoma supposedly.
I argue with my still in wife about facial hair all the time. At what point does God disapprove of facial hair? Mustaches are okay. Sideburns are okay. But damn it, they better not meet up at any point and definitely no hair on the chin.

What's the latest with beards?
My family knew someone that had a beard and gave parts they say. Think he was an elder. He had some skin disorder where he couldn't use razors. But, I've never seen it.
My father in law elder claims that they may be relaxing their stance and allow facial hair sometime soon.
Another ridiculous unwritten policy with no bible backing.
hello forum.
i started this topic because i had been thinking recently about a story that i had heard many times in different congregations over the years.
kind of a jw urban legend if you will.
I started studying a few years back after leaving the dubs and family in the late 90s.
I wasnt aware of all the changes before "studying".
Anyway, my mom told me that Satan would be testing me during this time by having multiple women vieing to get down my pants. Well, I studied for as long as I could hold out but the woman thingy never did come to fruition.
Not an urban legend I know but I just wanted to vent. Damn it.
so i was lurking on jwtalk after trying to read the thread on there about the broadcast about the conti case...and holy moly there are some bat ish crazy talk on that site!
they also blocked the thread about the broadcast, lol!
they are scuuuuured (scared).
I literally get sick to my stomach reading jwtalk. I'm not a member so I don't get to go into the private deep discussions but from what is open to the public I doubt anything deeper goes on than who the next host of jw broadcast will be. Food for thought. God's chariot on the move. Food at the proper time. Obviously we are in the last days. Shelter and homeschool the kids.Association with anyone other than witnesses bad. Look at the convention notebook I made for the kiddos. The need to consistently tell themselves they are so happy for some reason. All changes in doctrine makes so much more sense now even though we can't explain it.
#bestconventionever! #bestbroadcastever!
#bestwayoflife!
What's the point of these threads? To show that not everyone here deserves respect with what you consider idiotic beliefs? Or am I missing some bigger picture point?
I haven't read all the posts so I'm genuinely asking. If so, I agree with you. I don't respect everything I read here. In fact, some things are completely insane in my opinion. But, we all have unique experiences and this religion has affected us all in different ways. So, those that are fading or have complety disappeared are more than likely searching for their truth. Who are we to say their truth is a lie?
I don't agree with bashing on someone who believes differently with you. That's just what witnesses do. So, to say someone who believes in God is ignorant or stupid or whatever is anaglous to jdubs looking down on anyone that thinks differently from them. I remember my father watching nova or some other science show and shaking his head and smirking when anything was mentioned regarding evolution or carbon dating. Like, he knew more than people who have devoted their whole lives to science because he read a few watchtowers. This was back when witnesses said the earth was no more than 6000 years old or whatever it was.
We can't prove God doesn't excist, just as we can't prove he does. And until one way of thought is proven without a doubt, there really is no point on debating one way or the other.
If I'm completely off base with your point than just consider this my wake up rant.
once upon a time i started a thread who is your favorite thinker and got many responses.
however revisiting that thread i noted we were to modest to name ourselves or fellow posters.
i therefore think we are either complete idiots, or modesty aside we should now name names, and restrict our answers to posters on the board.. so who on this board is your favorite thinker and why?.
I think I need to think about this.
ours started out with matt.
25:23. he brought out that "good and faithful slave" was talking about the anointed but wait for it.........yes the principle can be applied to our cong.
well tonight it was about getting all the territories worked once a year.
DarkNight757,
You had me laughing hysterically for the last few minutes , not quite sure why though.
i perfectly remember that, rehearsing with mom, trying to read with enough emphasis and in a proper tone.
i was 5 years old, back then in 1996 i think, and the portion was james 5:1-13.... i found today that i still know the first verses by heart!!!
it's actually a cherished memory for me, i came to memorize those because mom had me starting the reading all over again until i got to read it properly... and in time!!!
The words of Jeremiah the words of Hilkiah one of the priests that were in Anothoth in the land of Benjamin,,,
Jeremiah 1: 1-19
I still remember the opening verse... I was 12, maybe 13 when I gave my first talk...I'm 37 now... seems not so long ago.
thought she was gonna take a pic of me on the sneak.
im df'd...been df'd for over 19 years already.
so she probably would have gotten away with it without anyone knowing.....except that her flash was on.
@EmptyInside,
Let me know if you need any help with your game.
