  in my weekend rounds of posting my, "child molesters in your neighborhood" poster, i happened across a chuch yard sale.

  i approached the lady at the table and asked if the church had a bulletin board.

  when she told me they did i handed her a poster and said she may want to post this.

  there are so many people here who have been hurt in various individual ways.

  they have fought to stay alive, to have self confidence, to sustain when tragedy has struck them, or even, multiple tragedies.

  most of us have come out of the borg - and that in itself takes enormous strength, causes enormous pain, and doubts, confusion and fights with family or shunned by family and trust issues.

  as you may have gathered, we've just returned from our vacation / visiting my dad in canada.

  we all had a great time as we always do (i'll post some pics later).. it was very nice of 'concerned mama' to invite us over for dinner and for her and her daughter to show us the wonders of the west edmonton mall (where we went on a submarine ride!).

  thank you so much for taking the time out for us and for your very generous hospitality - we hope we can repay the favour sometime!.

  You do have a lotsa GUTS! That's something that these Clowns from Kingdumb Hell don't have and will never have. By the way that you've been treated, with "Friends" like these, Who needs enemies?

  The JWs cult is one of living in FEAR. A cult that makes people feel inadequate, unworthy and always keeps people down with a lot of guilt trip. With all these legalism, No wonder they have a very SORRY lifestyle and expect everybody (even the non-JWs) to accept that lifestyle.

  They didn't make the announcement of your df'd right there because an outsider (a reporter) was present???? That pretty much tell us what a two-faced group of people they are. Buncha cowards who are afraid to stand by what is right. Like it's been said, they protect the perps and punish the victims and those who speak up for the victims.

  Bill, you don't need those cowards for friends.

  among other subjects, he teaches is a class on human sexuality.

  i asked him if he covered the subject of sexual abuse.

  I second you on what you said. However even if the WTS changes its policies, I will never join them and I hope that none of my family and relatives do either as I will show them what they are.

  On the subject of them changing policies, there's also the possibility that in the future (if they change the current policies), they can revert back to the old policies as they had always done.

  Boys vs. Girls, Abuse Cases

  i watched connie chung last nite with a non-witness friend.

  she suggested that the reason the abuse is covered up and brushed aside is because it largely involves girls who are molested.. i know the society is homophobic, so there would be very little male to male contact.

  since little girls can't grow up to be elders, and are second class citizens in the org, could this be a possibility?.

  I would not be surprised if the answer to that question is YES!

  Look at other sexist societies in Third World Countries as well as Highly Developed Countries (Japan for instance) regardless of religion, culture and creed. In most of these countries, if not all, the woman has no say. Pretty despicable and sickening if you ask me.

  right after it ended she called a very close relative - a very active jw.

  pioneered, brought hundreds in, husband an elder, witness since the 50s.

  I wonder how they go door to door and asked about these matters.

  I'd think that they would deny it and keep on denying it as well as trying to change the subject, but if the potential recruit is persistent with questions about these matters (the abuses), all the JWs will do is smile, say Have a nice day and walk out of there in a hurry.

  I am sorry to hear about that about your son and my heart goes to you and your family. Like you said,

  Hey, Watchtower Soceity, you're finally getting some real justice for your actions.

  That's quite true. After Dateline and this, I hope that there will be few lawsuits from victims just like how Erica did. It seems this ought to be the time for all the victims to step forward and file lawsuits against their former congregation elders and against the WTS.

  With that many lawsuits at the same time, I don't think the WTS can hide itself behind its lies and I wonder how many Maalox and Tums does JR Brown have to take to keep a straight face when answering the public media?

  Definitely, the more public exposure of this, the more the WTS will be under scrutiny to see if they TRULY follow what they said regarding how they handle these situations.
