Happy Birthday Waiting!!!
Here's a dozen roses
anything that brings such enjoyment to your life that it is almost an obsession that you are constantly hunting and searching for?
i collect pieces made my marjolein bastin.
for those that aren't familiar w/this artist, here is a bit about her:.
Good boots, antique coffee pots, and blue glass
i've just been sorting out various paperwork and going through the filing cabinet.
as well as every pay advice i've ever had (20+ years worth back to '83) i also have every bank statement, every cheque stub and, erm ... a big wad of atm receipts going back at least 10 years !
i just can't stand to throw things away for fear that i may need them one day!!.
I had/have this habit too. It's good to know there are more of us. But whenever I do gut something and organize it better it feels so good. I have to go through stuff and say to myself, "nothing is good as clean feels..." and most things are replacable or on file somewhere other than my desk (the bank, mortgage company, etc.)
I also think back to my dad's habit of collecting which included a dump truck no one of us was licensed to drive because it "was a good deal." I told him we could plant a garden in the back and get some use out of it. Anyway, he would search for 3 weeks for a nut or bolt for something that would have cost 5 cents at the hardware store and feel he had accomplished something when he found it.
some of you know that we live way out in the country, deep in the woods of northern mn.
one of the great things out here is the abundant wildlife that we see everyday.
last week we had a huge porcupine in the yard (which our four year old calls a hamster.....lol).
Thank you for sharing the pictures. I paint birds in Murals with script and greenery. You are lucky to have a variety. We live in the mountains and not many kinds survive the climates. Thanks again, they're beautiful.
c'mon now, there has to be something... the green carpet or the hard seats?
barn dances?
large social gatherings?
I thought really hard and could only find one thing: the person I thought my brother was.
last week, my middle daughter, 15, found a large lump in her throat.
it was about the size of a quarter.
when she pointed it out, it was very visible.. the doctor said, after viewing the ultra-sound pics, that it was either a cyst with an unusual hardened mass inside or a carsanoma, [not sure of spelling] a cancer attached to her thyroid.
I'm so sorry to hear of your worries. I had a lump the size of half an egg on my neck when I was 6. I kept wearing my turtle-neck sweater to hide it. I finally asked my parents and we immediately had it removed. It was all scar-tissue and they had no clue why or how it formed. So just wait and see what the tests reveal.
As far as the blood issue...I sent Randy a document for use by non-jw non-custodial parents to counter the blood card. Just in case anyone needs it...thought I'd throw that in. Look under Legal Issues at the bottom of the page.

.
it seems that light skinned ex-ws speak out more against watchtower than people of a darker skin color.
what is your ethnic origin?
OK, back to the African/American issue. My husband in 8th generation South African. We have two children. Can they get African American scholarships, etc.? Why or why not. This one confuses us all the time. They are more African American than a person of color (?) who has been here for 3-4 generations? My husband has been here 6 years.
Just wondering...

how do u clean your carpet?
we have beber, and own a hoover steam clenaing machine.
the saleman told us that b/c we had light colored beber, we could use bleach/water to clean it.
I have put laundry soap (very little) in the shampooer instead of carpet soap and it got EVERYTHING out. It seemed the carpet soap itself left a sticky film and I decided it did to get you to buy more again to clean it again sooner. Must be a conspiracy there somewhere
I have a little sign that says we have a Japanese house too...no shoes. It works the best.
i haven't been real active here lately, but some might remember that i am going through a divorce with my ex, which, it seems will have to be terminated at a trial.
she is technically still a jw.... (not df'd but she publically despises the religion).. and her mother is a regular pioneer.
my ex is continuing to allow her mother to have a lot of influence over my kids, including that i recently found out that my oldest (of four) son's exercise book (that goes to school showing what he has been reading at home) had almost all the entries being from their, "greatest man who ever lived" book.
pm me if you need more help...
...and i don't mean the snake.. when will i ever learn to leave well enough alone...?
hmm?
in an effort to lift my spirits after a long week of mishaps and bad news, i decided i would do something for me.
