  47 years doing the jw thing from the age of 3.. many good times and many times i thought i was worthless especially as a teenager.

  WT Rule: Disfellowshipped Should Shun One Another!

  anybody remember this?

  two people who are disfellowshipped can't talk to one another and can't even carpool to the meeting.

  i seem to remember this vaguely mentioned in a previous thread.

  My father, still a JW, phoned me recently (by accident) and wanted me to please write the elders a note asking that I be able to speak with my family again so we could be family. I told him I WAS speaking to him, it was he who was sneaking. "They can't kill me twice" I said. He then said blankly, "Well, that puts it all on us!" (the JW family) to which I agreed and he had nothing else to say. The mind control is so obvious once you're out.

  And, back to the topic, I was told by two bodies of elders not to sit by or speak with or associate with other DF/DA persons.

  *Summer program for youth/children. We will be taking the young people on a camping trip which will include fishing and swimming. Volunteers needed and appreciated. Everyone welcome*

  if you are a young person, you also need to face the fact that you will never grow old in this present system of things?

  .all evidence in fulfillment of bible prophecy indicates that this corrupt system is due to end in a few years?

  as a young person you will never fulfill any career that this system offers.

  Well, in 1969 I started school...doomed to cast into Satan's world at an early age. My little BROTHER, on the other hand, didn't start school until 1975 was past. They figured he would never have to go to school because Armageddon would come before he turned 6. So he was a year late clear up until graduation. Now he is 36 and waiting to find a wife in the New System/Order. It never ends.

  electric scooters?

  i'm thinking about getting one of those scooters that's like a skateboard with handlebars to use in conjunction with public transportation.

  what are some of the practical considerations?

  gas or electric, what kind of mileage/range, maintenance, etc.

  We have an electric scooter. You can go about 15 mph and ride all day on one charge. It is completely silent and fun to sneak up on people. The gas ones go further and faster but are noisy and have restriction. I think the electric ones are considered toys although I've been seen test-driving ours to make sure it's safe for the kiddies. Check local ordinances because the laws differ as to where you can travel on them. We love ours though.
