  Do JWs Consider You To Be An "Apostate"?

  we all know that our simply being here is considered an act of apostasy by witnesses.

  whether they know you frequent such boards or not, are you considered an "apostate" by the witnesses?

  I'm with FinallyFree. I lead a most exciting life.

  I had a baby with a black man. I sold the baby to marry another man after which we lost a baby and they are not sure if I was actually pregnant or lied. My mother looked in the State records to find a birth certificate to prove something; nevermind it would be her own grandchild she would be finding/mourning. Now I am sleeping with half the men in town, and if I deny that, I must have lesbian tendencies from being molested by loving, christian elders. I associate with other apostates and am starting religions left and right while helping other apostates start theirs. All the while I am trying to pull my daughters from the clutches loving arms of the organization by making them read factual material confusing propoganda like history books and such. And I have time to string Christmas lights and put up Silentlambs posters in between. I am a busy girl!

  Circumcision....How is it justified?

  i am unclear on this.

  it seems for most religions leave this question up to the parents.

  but how do people justify it?

  When my son was born the doctor came in to talk to us about it. I asked him what he thought about it. He said he had three sons and none of them were circumcised and he did it for a living. He said it was barbaric. I asked about the cleanliness aspect and he said that was a justification years ago, when people only bathed occasionally and didn't have soap like we do but that was nonsense as we all bathe every day.

  I decided against it and he is now almost 4 and has had NO problems. The more I think about it, the more barbaric it sounds.

  Record your children whenever you can. I got mine recorded as saying that if they lived with their father they could have horses and live in the new system. They also told a therapist that they were taught by everyone that I was going to die because I didn't go to the Kingdom Hall anymore.

  My 4 year old testified she would rather die with me at Armageddon than live with her dad. Let it be shown how it is damaging the children. Your attorney needs all the info. he can get but it must be VERY concise. I overwhelmed mine in my agony to show what was going on. Let them know you are not attacking the religion, you are looking out for the best interests of the children.

  for me it's being alienated by my twin daughters.

  Welcome to the board Stillangry! There are many wonderful people here and it's good to have this place.

  What has hurt the most? Having my 3 daughters swallowed up in the cult and having nothing I can do about it other than watch and hope.

  Kingdom Hall Spankings

  most meetings i went to, children were brought to the washrooms in the back to be disciplined.

  often i could hear a child yell or cry due to the spanking given by the parent.

  people in the hall would have that look on their face meaning that it was alright to discipline a child by spanking him.

  This thread is nauseating and so real.

  *In the hall where I grew up and "brother" used to sit in the back and touch his kid's eyeballs if they looked away from the stage. He would also bring hot pepper for their tongues if they whispered or giggled. He made me ill and I would wonder why the other parents didn't stop him.

  *I was beaten black and blue from my waste to my knees with a plastic spoon because I told my uncle when my birthday was. I was 4 and my parents were newly baptized. I didn't know we didn't celebrate birthdays anymore.

  As an parent I was a renegade. I would bring blankets and sit with the kids on them in the library. I was counselled by the PO once for giving my 2 year old cheerios from my pocket. She has hypoglycemia and the pediatrician said I had to feed her regularly. He actually brought out volumes with him. I later learned my own HUSBAND had asked him to counsel me. We are now divorced.

  AND IF ANYONE WANTS TO CALL ME A LIAR I'LL GIVE YOU MY MOM'S PHONE NUMBER. SHE'S STILL A JW AND BRAGS ABOUT THIS STUFF!!!

  List of family/friends lost to the Watchtower cult? (suicides)

  after reading about puternuts (ari) suicide, and also reading about sabine and js losing their daughter to this cult, i think it would be a fitting memorial, so to speak, to write a list of all the people we know who died because of this cult.

  i also know that cruzanheart lost her dad to it, too.

  i'm sure there are many here that can make a list of suicides brought on by the shunning/threatening policies of the watchtower cult.

  * Bible study stabbed her little boy (5) to death and then tried to OD. She survived. Went to prison for murder and was baptized there. My mom studied with her. She's still in prison.

  * A sister from our hall hung herself in her garage after returning from service.

  * My daughter left a suicide note after I was invited to attend a church service shortly after leaving the JW's.

  ive been reading this forum for a long time, but this new situation has come up and now it looks like i need your help.

  i thought i dodged a bullet.

  my wife and i were both jws, and we both left it together.
