SOLSTICE GREETNGS - ADD YOURS!!!
by Seeker4 injust wanted to start a day early in wishing everyone a very joyous solstice.. this time of year has always seemed rather magical in a way - the shortness of the day, the lack of light, the so-obvious connection with the earth and solar system that it reminds me of.
you pagans will all understand what i mean.
somehow i've managed to get to a party of some sort at this time of year for the past few years, and i'm headed to one tomorrow night.. i also wanted to say that this board, and h2o before it, has been a huge help to me over the past two years.

Custody Dilemma.....

You also have other options. Leaving one set of grandparents with guardianship is not all-inclusive.
You can stipulate that both sets share legal custody while they live with one set who has physical custody. Then, if the blood issue arises, there will be input from both sides and the state will judge on the side of the best interest of the children.
I would also make a stipulation that they cannot be baptized before being of legal age. The JW's legally are classing themselves out of being a religion and a minor cannot be part of an organization.
Just some ideas. Hope they help. -

How sure were you that it was the truth?
by sleepy inwhen you were a witness how sure were you that it was the truth?.
were you totally convinced or did you think it was just the best way to serve a god but not perfect.. it amazes me when i think of how vigourusly i defended the witness and my ideals when on the minisrty and in talking to friends.. what worries me is that if i was so covinced then about what i belive then should i be so convinced now.. back then i was at the pinnacle of understanding or at least i belived i was , do i feel the same now?.
well i try to not be so dogmatic about thing now.

I was a #1 for 30 years. Did the whole bit and was too scared to question anything. I also kind of figured since I wasn't being a bad person my butt was covered even if it was not quite right.
I went from that to a 6 or below in 2 days after reading COC straight through and looking up information on 607 BCE. That was a trip. -

This is so true. Jehovah's Witnesses keep account after sins have been blotted out....long after. At Bethel records are kept of DF'd ones after they have died in a special file. Their requirements for forgiveness are obviously higher than God him/herself's.

I had wondered the same thing. The new Awake! came and gave the impression that they were very willing to help any and all who had needed aid. That contradicted the stories I had heard. Anyone?
