Thank you for sharing the link, good catch.
i also tend to agree with BOC. They will find some rational to sell for a profit and rebuild/remodel somewhere else and pocket the profit. Its what the worlds largest real estate company does...

hi simon - i'd sent you an email regarding this problem;.
i cannot see the captcha facility to enable me to prove i'm a humanzee and log-on.
so i could not gain access to my account and participate - despite trying numerous suggestions provided on the internet.. i tried one last thing - i downloaded mozilla firefox (never tried it before) and it by-passes the captcha function and gives me access now.. i look forward to getting acquainted with the new-look web site.. thanks simon..
Sailing the titantic as if it were unsinkable Was a horrible mistake
Flying a hydrogen gas filled blimp with thermite covering was a horrible mistake
bunging jumping out of a blimp 100 feet off the ground with 150ft bungee cord is a horrible mistake
a few sign in issues dosent seem all that bad.... But i do like your flair for the dramatic greener :)
it is known as "the green handshake" and everyone knows it happens.. .
the giving of money to c.o.
's to curry favor or perhaps a position or some special privilege.. here is my question:.
back in the early 1980s, some congregations were "disassociating" unbaptized people who committed alleged disfellowshipping offenses and weren't repentant.
it was announced from the platform in the same way, "so and so is disassociated," followed by 1 scripture about shunning and another about the specific sin that person had committed.
the ritual shunning was exactly the same as dfing.

We are talking about two different things, as fine as the hairs being split organizationaly are...
rebel asked about someone who was termed "disassociated", although the situation seems to fit more in line with what blondie referanced as someone no longer viewed as an "approved associate".
Someone dissociated will be treated as DF'd. Someone who was never baptised will not be, in my experiance, treated as DF'd, nor does the org say they should, as the referance blondie shared showed. The reality though is that athough not treated as DF'd they are treated poorly, 'after all they did something that disqualified them as publisher so they cant good associated'.

With respect nicolaou, those who are DA'd are treated exactly as the same as those who are DF'd. I appreciate that the sitution Rebel described is one who was DA'd many years ago, before the current arrangments were in place, but in the mind of and in the eyes if the org someone known as "disassociated" is just that, disassociated, for whatever reason or whenever it happened.
pages 110-112 of the ks10 make it clear, including the announcment to be made when someone DA's, either through verbal means or actions. The announcment is "[name of person] is no longer one of jehovahs witnesses", the exact announcment made when one is DF'd.
please let me say im not trying to be insensitive to the sad family situation you described or in any contridict you, only pointing out the current organization realities.
If someone is known to be in the sitution rebel described, a dubbie would shun.
am i the only one that has to sign in every morning since this new site has been up?
yes, i always check the remember me box, but it's not working more than 24 h ours, at least for me.
I dont want to speak as an absolute authority, simon is very skilled (clearly) and has built this forum from the ground up so i will defer to him in the final analysis. That said, i susspect its a setting in firefix. I tried both from my laptop and my iphone and have stayed signed in with no issues but im using chrome not firefox. Sorry i cant be more help in that speific situation shirley.
blondie, im NOT a fan of IE. Switching to chrome will not hurt you or anything ypu have saved specific to IE. You will not he uninstalling IE when you install chrome. In other words, go ahead and instal chrome and try it. If you dont like it then you just resume using IE with no negative consequences. In my professional life i have migrated many people from IE to chrome and they all like the switch. Like anything else, there are a few differances to adjust to but its very inutative and much faster than IE.

Sorry shirey, on my iphone i have stayed signed in since the first time.... Is your browser set to delete cookies automatically? Some people do that as a privacy protection measure but it will sign you out of websites.
Perhaps some details would help... What browser? Are you on a mobile device or laptop/tower? What operating system?

i heard a local needs item last night which is not only adding different congregations to a different circuit, (to balance the numbers attending) but also moving all of the congs in that circuit from a relatively nearby rented venue to an assembly hall more than 4 times the distance away!
how loving of the glorious ones!
what a blessing they are giving to the flock!.
