  Has God done anything recently worth witing about?

  i'm not sure why religions insist upon living and teaching from thousands of years ago.

  a time when people lived in fear of things they didn't understand and didn't have the knowledge or words to describe things and events in terms that are relevant to us in 2015. why are we taught to live, and believe, in the middle-east over 2000 years ago?

  Bartender - Update 3

  sorry for long delay for update.. short story shorter - walked in way too late, she walked by, didn't say hi, i didn't say hi, she left to work, i left the bar.

  4 friends got into a huge fight and were kicked out.

  now i'll be going there alone.. to be honest, though, i think i'm just gonna pass on relationships all together.

  you show up as shes ready to get off. Shes probably drained from dealing with the crowds, mind moving towards home.... It wasnt personal. Im sure it would have been affirming for you if she would have smiled and engaged you in conversation... But since she didnt you could have taken the initive. You may have gone home WITH her instead of watching her her walk away.

  Dont take it personal. Walk back in. Get her attention, some idle chit chat, 'hey looked like a busy night xyz day, didnt get a chance to say hi before you went home'

  her: oh yes it was tough

  day blah blah blah....

  You: listening, noding.....

  Her: blah blah finishing up....

  you: wow that was busy (or tough or whatever fits) but i did miss having a chance to talk to you *you give a small smile* how about when you get off tonight we grab a bite to eat and talk then?

  Have a nearby place in mind for when she says yes. If she declines.... Smile and say no worries, maybe another time :)

  do any of you ex-jw's still believe in god?

  even with the new rebranding/softening of this religion, i still don't see how people can believe in him.

  the god of the old testimate is an angry murderer who approved rapes and slavery and killed thousands of men, women and children.

  Lol poor prologos....yes most know how to change the number of posts per page and thus reduce the number of pages. It wasnt a complaint, it was an observation on length, that is to say total number of posts.

  Prayer Question I Had After Sundays Watchtower...

  while i was sitting through another grueling watchtower, dying from my brain being turned into cult pudding, i had this thought after i heard this read: .

  when we express our most intimate thoughts to god in prayer, he may answer us through a bible passage, an article in a magazine, or an encouraging word from a fellow believer.

  Praying to a rich guy with expensive vigilante toys?

  Just pray to thor. At least hes a real god and his standards are pretty relaxed, no sacrifices or field service or other nonsense. Hate ice giants and drink a mead or two is pretty much the extent of it...
