by sir82 inso in the october jw broadcast, there is a "morning worship" segment in which g. jackson goes to great lengths to explain how the term "those taking the lead" are not "leaders".. the terms are exactly equivalent, of course, but jackson, with a wink & smirk, pats himself on the back for his own cleverness on how different they really are.it's just so bizarrely absurd.. imagine if such tortured reasoning were applied to other areas..... -------------------------------------.

For god sake stop repeating what you dont know. Gun shows REQUIRE back round checks. I have been to dozens and they ALL, no matter what state you live in, no matter what state the show is in, they ALL REQUIRE BACK ROUND CHECKS.
What dosent require a “check” per say is a private sale.. except it does. However there is no way to verify that the check was done... example: freemind wants to sell me a 9mm handgun. If a dealer was doing the sale, be it at a store or at a gun show, there are inventory checks and regulatory rules that mandate the checks and legal penalties that easily enforced if not done.. z however freemind is just selling to me. Its easy to trade a little money and its done. If i never commit a crime with it then nobody would ever know the sale took place, unlike the sale taking place at a retail shop or show.

Sigh... i sit here and tell myself i wont be drawn into this , that its a bottomless hole of no win scenarios... yet here i am...
how are the victims going to be compensated?
for better or worse the killer killed himself so there are no direct answers to be had and no trial to provide a sense of closure. Are they entittled to money from.... someone? The shooters estate perhaps. But the manufacture of the firearm....? Do you sue toyota if someone kills you in a prius? Were the makers of pressure cookers sued after the boston marathon? Did boeing pay damages after 9/11?
over and over we look to take someones money to make others feel better. Mostly ourselves, thinking that giving someone someone elses money is a good thing.
This is more handwringing and trying to give meaning to violence that has no meaning. His motovations will become clearer in days and weeks. That wont solve anything but it will help some find closure eventually.
As for insurance... again, if this jackass bought firearms illegally do you realy think he would have insured himself??? Does anyone think these things through or do we so obsessively feel the need to react that ANYTHING, even pointless wheel spining, feels better than accepting the truth....

Red, your headbutting the problem with legislation and yet not seeing the issue... you cannot define what you think you are defining...
1) all guns are “assault weapons”. Is there a gun used in a crime that WASNT an “assault” weapon? Give an example.
2) on your point regarding all private weapons being limited to bolt action rifles, consider the following crime:
a man fires three shotswithin six seconds at a moving target, scoring two hits out of three. He used a bolt action rifle..... and killed the president of the united states.
how would your propsed law have helped? Killing anyone is a crime. That law didnt help. Killing the president is a crime. That law didnt help. Once again you are trying to define things you dont understand so that you feel better and feel like you did something. It dosent work.

We had an islamic nut kill two people with knifes in paris yesterday. We had another drive a truck through a crowd. We had another use pressure cookers to kill and maim crowds. We had others fly planes into buildings... nobody wants to hear it, freemind. For many “law” is the answer because it makes them feel good ignoring the simple fact that MURDER IS ALREADY AGAINST THE LAW. Firing a weapon into a crowd is against the law. So many goddamn laws were broken by this nut that it would be difficult to list them all. But they wont care what laws he broke to kill these people or even that these people died. Their bodies will stood on to push a gun abolition agenda. To make more laws that criminals wont follow. And they will feel better. Thats what counts.

i just don't have that much time nowadays.. my mother was always proud, and used to mention to a lot of people, that i already was in field-service when i was seven weeks old.
well, i'm a february child, so you understand how cold it was in my pram.

JW Rumor: End of the Traveling Overseer
by Edison Trent ina friend of mine has contacts to a family with several circuit overseers and special pioneers.
they have good connections to bethel.. he told me that the latest rumor from bethel states that the cos should be abolished in their present form.
they have also recently begun to take cos back to bethel.. over the same channel i have already heard of the car fleet program and that the dos should be abolished.. has anyone else already heard of it?
