  The Watchtower's Real Crisis

  when discussing the watchtowers financial problems, i've generally been of the opinion that they probably are not in a real financial crisis.

  i've come to believe that money may be something of an issue, but its wrapped up in a much larger problem.

  this came to me this morning when reading about the annual meeting.. i think the society's leadership is just plain out of ideas.

  @onager- i would have to let slim comment on his current definition of collapse in order to truly know but that definition has been malleable over a few threads recently, along with his time frame for collapse.

  There is virtually zero evidance to sugguest they have problems. They just spent millions on a brand spanking new hq after making billions in real estate sales. The cut backs are just smart biz . Why waste money and man power printing in a digital age? Cut all that crap out and go digital/tv. Welcome to the 2000’s, wt.

  slim (and many others) hope for the wt to change in ways THEY want and so see any change as a chink in the cults armour. It remains pipe dreams and school boy fantasies. Its always been a cult and wont change fundamental a thing to make it less culty, only more so. We have plenty of evidence of that over the last ten years.

  So whatever slims current definition of collapse and his current time frame (minutes i assume), his premise is forced fundamental change in cultyness, something i predict will never ever happen.

  yeah right... my wife has come home after an extended sunday meeting in a foul mood.

  to be around her is like feeling your way through barbed wire.

  Never ever kiss her ass. Dont clean the fucking house when shes at a meeting. If she gets to go play all day and do nothing for the family then why the hell should you carry the weight??

  Be a good husband and ask whats wrong. Try to engage her. If she rejects your efforts then let her know her shit wont be tolerated and if she dosent want like it or want to shape up she knows where the door is. Jw women will take every goddamn inch you give them. Dont give into shitty attitudes after shes been neglecting you all day.

  @longhairgirl- i could certainly see that. The problem for slim is he is counting the orgs demise in hours at this point. I dont have any particular belief that org will grow or thrive, but they will certainly continue along. Smaller? Almost assuredly. But never failing or collapsing as slim (and others) fantasize.

  Slim,

  the cesation yearbook printing is a non issue. As one jw said today “we get the experiances on jw tv and thats more interesting anyway”. Nobody cares. Apostates like the yearbook to comb stats.. average jw’s couldnt give a damn. They already dont read it. I never read it. A very select few read it. It was boring. Its a total nonissue for jws.

  Mark my words and this post:

  they will tithe. The members will eat it up.

  The women i talked to today were HAPPY about the decline of mags to read and deal with. They LIKE jw tv because its easy and spoon fed. This is not negative for the org at all. The only people who see it as negative are those that are already gone.

  laughing aside, i have no belief in the orgs invinciblity. I have 100 years of evidence that cults survive and there are always gullible people who want to be lied too...

  you see an org changing with the times and assume, because you wish it, that they are falling apart. But we dont need to do this again... we both know where we stand, i was just waiting for you to jump on the non happenings of the day and frame them for your narative.

  this just in from the 2017 annual meeting:.

  1. watchtowers and awakes won't be released regularly, at least three watchtower and awakes per year.

  6 magazines a year.. 2. a new book is being released: remain in god's love, more of an update like how they did for the what does the bible really teach book.

  Lets review.... nobody on this forum told fisheman to go away. I dont think anyone minds him or said otherwise.

  we are however trying to help him see the hypocrisy of posting on a site frequented by apostates in direct violation of his organizations policy on these matters. The purpose? I speak only for myself but i hope perhaps one day fisherman can bring himself to admit that he dosent adhere to wt teachings and beliefs as much as he tries to convince himself he does. He dosent need you to save him from that realization or from anything else for that matter.
