  so lets assume that the current jw use of disfellowshipping was used back in jesus day, .

  who of the bible characters would find themselves disfellowshipped?

  Well, playing along a bit here, i would have to say that df'ing the big guy isnt an option. The boss can do whatever he wants, by default, if he does it its ok for him to do it..

  However i think its noteworthy to look at biblical examples of humans  who would have merited df'ing (this has been before but what the heck i will start us off)....

  Aaron.  Built the golden calf. Should have been killed (df'd by todays standards) but wasnt. He even stayed as an appointed man. 

  King david.  For multiple things including adultry and murder to cover the adultry. He also kept his privledges of service.

  i just started to watch the february broadcast when i noticed a metallic rattle over the drone of sam's voice.

  (does that man speak with a mouth full of chowin' tobacco or is he choking on the rubbish he reads off the autocue?).

  yep it's his rolex.

  Can we be deleted as an appointed man, or disfellowshipped without meeting in a committee?

  so, i am genuinely wondering if the above is possible nowdays?.

  with the changes in the power structure of co's, the changes in gb directives re never questioning "jehovah's appointed channel etc", i wonder if "disciplne can be given out in absence?.

  i know that several elders in our cong have little "discussions" about my apparant slackening off, and would love to take action against me... they have tried to chat with me but that has been shot down.. so i wonder if they could just make a decision without me being present for it?

  Stepping down was a complete and total relief for me. I have never been more at ease and do not miss it one single bit.  Even if it stings for personal reasons, this is nothing but a good thing for you :)

  Yea in watching that horrific crap last night i gave a lot of attention to the watch and its defintaly invicta.  I actually respect herd a little for that since i like some of their watches ;) of course that respect in negated because its not mechanical and its fake gold tone which is the height of pretentious and phony 'oh look at me-ness' ..... But i definatly concluded its the invicta.

  one can dismiss this as an exception*!

  yet overwhelming proofs are too obvious to miss if we take the community as an individual (community is the reflection of the behavior pattern of the individuals that make up the whole).

  elders in wealthy lands may find it difficult to encourage baptized brothers in their 20s or 30s to do more in the congregation.

  ex- perienced elders in about 20 lands told us why they believe that some young brothers do not do more in the congregation.

  most of them said that when some brothers were young, their parents did not encour- age them to set goals in jehovahs ser- vice.

  Thats not antidotal. Its in the ks book/letters to the BOE.  Its not automatic removal but its automatic review if his qualifications which could lead to removal
