Nope. I have never had particularly negative experiance with a brother or sister. It takes different things to wake people up. He needs to learn to let it go and live :)

I fall into the camp some others have : lifes a bitch and then you marry one. Hes 17! Life has just begun and hes more than able to make a go of whatever sport he wants.... But nobody ever got anywhere feeling sorry for themselves. Shut up and do something about it :)

we've all read, heard and have seen in the videos where jw's and their leaders talk about the "huge" growth that is taking place.

they've talked about how many kh they needed, branches etc... .

our co last visit he mentioned how quickly the organization is speeding up and the huge growth they are seeing.

OTWO added another interesting layer.... I know for a fact that locally a lot of "skilled" work is craftly paid for even though its officially "donated". For instance when a "brother" comes into move dirt for the foundation he "donates" his time but submitts bills for "mobilizing" his equipment.... Bills that are exactly what he would charge someone to the work secularly, interestingly enough. Yea and hes an elder.... Theres a lot wealth being spread around. I bet warwick is rife with similar stories.

Come to think of it i remember george couch (bethel bigwig and asshat) selling land in brooklyn to the branch! That was a scam back in the old days...

Lol at myself john... I saw in ur quote i fatfingered a word...

as for not getting get ROI on the property, i think thats excatly what this new building program is for. New generaic KH that look like commercial space, ready to sell. Primed and ready as they stand. Plus land is always an asset. They arent making anymore after all....

I dont think the top of the org believes the growth is real. They know better than anyone what a fragile pyramid it all is... This building program isnt about handling expansion of membership. Its about parking money. Building is very common way for the wealthy to "park" their money. Its got decent return on investment and is reasonably secure. Its not totally liquid but its fairly well "hidden" in a way cash is not. They arnt stupid or fooled nor are they drinking koolaid. They are cunningly managing assets.
