If Women were elders, would it make a difference in the organization?
by John Aquila inimagine three single sisters who qualified to be appointed as elders in the congregation.
they qualified because they started reaching out in their early teens.
persistently and methodically they worked their way through the ranks by pioneering then becoming a m.s.

Demon Stories
by humblepotato inso we all know that "crazy" brother or sister.
every kingdom hall has one.
they give the best comments (from a hilarious perspective), have experiences with the "demons", but most importantly, they are on about 10 deifferent kinds of medications.

To go alomg with many others comments: since when did the desert god get in the habbit of allowing demons to attack people in his house? Really? And why at that moment? In the hall. In front of a group of elders? Its silly. Having a seizure isnt though. I witnessed someone acting cery similar to what you described, thrashing and falling down etc etc... And ended up foaming at the mouth paralized. If i was a bronze age goat herder or a religious idiot i may have mistaken that for demon possesion and prayed for them or perhaps chanted incantations from a so called holy book at them.. Instead i called an ambulance.
the floating deer head.... Sigh.... What about deer heads would make them prone demon possession? Was that deer a devil worshipper when alive? It pointless and silly. Whats far more likely is that the husband had a night terror and when he was able to move he woke his wife and acted as you described. He believes it and either the wife believes it because he does or she knows it isnt true and dosent want to embarrass him and refuses to talk about it

Mentally Diseased - is it partly our fault that we got this label?
by cappytan ini was thinking about this the other day.. a common way for apostates to "fade" is to pretend to have depression or anxiety problems.. is it possible, that when apostates become known, the elders report to the society that said person was undergoing mental health problems?
i can see a scenario where the society then took those statistics that were reported and just decided, "well, it looks like the only ones leaving are those with mental diseases.".
oh, and not to mention the subliminal messages conspiracy theorists.

Absolutely not. The term mentality diseased (in the wt context) has nothing to do with a diagnosed mental illness but rather their twisted application of the scriptures. They use it as an insult towards those that no longer believe as they do regardless of an individuals soundness of mind. Its intent it is paint any who see the fraud as somehow mentally deficient and not worth listening too.... "Oh brother so and so dosent think generations overlap? Hes just mentally diseased! " the mindset was in place long before clinical diagnosis of depression was made.
Although the sublimanal picture people dont help.....
