July 19th Watchtower Summary. Insanity

just got back from the wt study and it overall was just so blindingly biased and leading.. i had to read it from the platform too, i hope they couldn't see the confounded look on my face as i read this craziness out!.

first we consider the faith of abel, enoch, noah, abraham, isaac and jacob, and moses.. all of these people are held up as sterling examples of blind faith, with the article pointedly saying that their imaginations sustained their faith in gods promises for them.

no mention anywhere at all that all of these characters saw and talked to angels, spoke to god himself, saw and performed miracles, or any of the other feats experienced by these characters.

A bit off topic but think about the resurrected ones in this sense: the dubbies claim most of them wont accept the "truth".... So wait a second..... They get brought back from the dead into paradise bit still dont believe the desert is the "true" god...? The whole concept is stupid. As stupid as this article. The sumary that its more touchy-feely and less logic than ever is dead on. Its all designed around emotion now

Thank you stealth! Yes and good question...

I understand the tounge in cheeck nature of the question but it does allow me to share this point:

when i was working in the laundry bethel policy was that all brothers got 5 dress shirts ironed a week anything in excess of that was washed and sent back of course, just not ironed. Bethel heavies, like the gb, got special consideration and boy did they abuse the hell out of it. They would send 20 dress shirts a week...we would debate and try to figure out what in the hell they did to need that many shirts cleaned every week.....

but it showed the "seperate" nature of those taking the lead. Dont get me started on their rooms and how nice they were compared to anyone elses

Employment Rules in the Watchtower Organization.

a jehovah witness teacher is allowed to teach nonreligious subjects in a school owned by a religious organization but,.

is not allowed to teach the same subject in a school funded or directed by the military..

since the watchtower views all religious organizations as part of babylon the great who had gods disfavor and would be destroyed at armageddon, no elder including some members of the gb could explain this policy of employment.isocf pg 401.

Sort of true sort of not...

if you as a witness OWN a business, such as a contracting business, you arnt allowed to work for a religious organization "AND KEEP PRIVLIDGES" (not yelling just emphasizing). If you are simply an employee of a contractor you work wherever you are told and its not your fault. Bear in mind the only "threat" is privlidges, not DF'ing or anyother official sanction. The exception is if there is a public safety issue, then a witness can correct the problem without threat to standing in the congregation.
