Do you feel embarrsed?

when you look through a keyhole, and see the person you once were?.

as for myself, i am just pleased i have mended my ways.

i realise ( now) my time as a witness was a keyhole that looked in to the ground, and licked the elders arse.

As a born in this is all knew. When i realized ttatt i didnt feel embarrassed because its how i was raised but i can understand why some may feel that way if they were sucked in as an adult. I dont think its justified, mind you, but i can understand why someone may feel that way.

part of what you describe may be more accurately described as personal growth and looking back from a more mature place, cult or no. I have certainly felt that as ive grown but again thats not tied to the cult so much as its just normal human maturation.

when i left in march officially i started reading the forums here.

i had this excitement that more people would be leaving soon because of the crazy broadcasts, the crazy "new light" that the gb was dishing out, and more recently the australian royal commission lighting up geoffrey.

this past saturday i had an elder stop by to chat for the first time since i left.

according to the scriptures, jehovah makes his sun rise upon wicked people and good and makes it rain upon righteous people and unrighteous.

- matthew 5:45. in that case, if we look at the account in genesis, god is shown to give pharaoh a dream that he will cause seven years of famine.. genesis 41: pharaohs dreams.

25 then joseph said to pharaoh, the dreams of pharaoh are one and the same.

I enjoyed the video and the presentation overall even though i knew how that movie was going to end from the start. Bethel won't ever say more than what is in print already. This teaching is stupid and will continue to be a thorn for them. Congrats on two more getting out ;)

This is true. I love and trust my dog but do not share bodily fluids with her. I love trust and have intimacy with my son but do not share bodily fluids with him either.
However, the equation does not prove true in the inverse. A lack of bodily fluids doses not create it either and may damage it

Again, djs beat me to it. I was about to type similar regarding all the things a woman is not to angry to do, like letting a man pay the bills, work on the car, do yard work, cuddle etc etc etc.

i will also elaborate here, im not talking about a day or two of this, maybe some argument over some petty typical married people nonsense... Im refering to a longer periods of time where intimacy is withheld or neglected. When it stretches into a couple of weeks or more somebody needs to get the hell over it or get the hell out.

@cultbegone - after rereading my post I see where there was room to take my statment as all inclusive regarding women. I didn't intend it to be all inclusive and should have added a qualifier to reflect "some women" or even "a few women".

@jwsaughter- yes i agree i have heard of cases where men also use (withholding)sex as a 'weapon' or tool to manipulate. It is not exclusive to women although i would suggest its more common amongst women, though i will admit i have no data to support that.

It is utter nonsense to suggest men invented the phrase "using sex as a weapon". How could you prove in any respect which gender invented the phrase? Thats feminist tripe. What is most certainly provable is that, for a fact, women withold sex as means of manipulation and negative reinforcement, commonly called "punishment". Men didnt invent that.
