Mass JW exodus

maybe there will be a mass exodus from jws when thinking people read feb 2017 watchtower telling them the governing body stuff up, shouldnt expect correct/ perfect information and basically make up guff as they see fit.....ya reckon?.

The mass exodus never happens.

Lets learn from the past.

The cult has been around for over 100 years and has said stupid thing after stupid thing.. they have contridicted themselves and lied and done whatever they needed or wanted to... and people still show up on Sunday.

Read this aloud to yourself:

I accept that there will never be a mass exodus out of the cult.

repeat as necessary.

Trading belief in a fairy tale paradise for belief in a mass exodus from the cult dosent make it less a fairy tale.

Changed Wording in February 2017 WT Article

the february 2017 wt had stated that the gb is "neither inspired nor infallible" and that it can make errors in doctrine.. the language of the online wt issue now says, “the governing body is neither inspired nor perfect.

therefore, it can make mistakes when explaining the bible or directing the organization.”.

why the change?

The organization discourages association on the internet in general and certainly forbidds association with those were once believers but have left the pattern of healthful words. Dont get me wrong, im not telling you to leave, but the organization certainly would say its wrong for you to be here.

Sigh.. the quotes dont say exactly what he says. The point was that the new world translation wasnt translated to form the foundation of witness teaching not that the bible isnt the foundation. This type of dishonesty does no one favors

The one oclock meeting

i go to a hall (very rarely) with a single cong of about 60 people in a small city of maybe 10000. our board of elders is a bunch of childless weirdos or at least the ones that make an effort.. they recently changed the sunday meeting time from 10/12 to 1/ 3. a number of us are pissed off.

its makes to hard to drive to the city or go to a football game.. i just know the gestopo elders behind the change.

if your life isnt as miserable or pointless as theirs, they arent doing their job.

everything is a choice. You are choosing to go to the meeting as much as they choose to change the time.

A man chooses. A slave obeys.

Remind yourself of that as often as you need to... then choose.

Or obey.

the usa, claiming that the usa supports freedom, has often supported revolutionaries/dissenters in other countries.. some examples:.

currently, the syrian war commenced circa 2011 in the so-called arab spring.

it is claimed that the usa supplied weapons to anti-government forces.

More hyperbole. As a gun owning citizen of the united states i can verify that purchasing and owning a firearm is not the easiest thing in our coutry. Its far easier to buy milk and butter, for example, than a firearm.

if the op was a an entry way to discuss American presence in foreign politics then im all for it! Perhaps we could also discuss chinas influance in north/south korea ....
