  Along with what you said doubting bro, i think fisherman is sort of right about brooklyn heights wanting the property but wrong about the threat of imminent domain. Rumor was, even back in the early 90’s when i was there, that brooklyn heights wanted the 360. It was part of proposed redevelopment of the water front. That dosent equate in anyway with a threat of imminent domain, mind you, but it was talked about that the city wanted the land to change hands. In the end, money talks and shipping and printing became cost prohibitive to do largely in the US. Other countries began printing in their region and 360 was more valuable sold than used...

  How Do You Feel About Trump's Tuff Talk To Korea To Make Korea Behave?

  i know or think i know that trump is bluffing and acting very bully like with threats of unleashing his power as commander and chief a military with super weapons.

  but why bluff with such boyish stupidity?

  i think mr trumps barginings skills are at an all time low and so the threats of violence and retaliation for misbehaving according to the whims of a narcissist.. my confidence in him is at an all time low, talk about cave man club you over the head approach to problems this guy takes the cake.

  China very much wants north korea as a strong “buffer state”. That was the impetus for the korean war. I have shared numerous well written and researched articles showing that it is the chi coms who are giving north korea their weapon tech. They very much like a well armed and strong north korea.

  of course china dosent want a nuclear war. Nobody on earth (save a few wack job religions cranks) wants a nuclear war. But the security of the korean peninsula and by extrension asia and ultimately the world depend on north korea being rational. WW1 was started by far less than what kim has threatened. “Bluster” or not, an impudent child with a gun is threat to themselve and everyone around them.

  “Hey Morph, thanks for commenting on my thread and I hope you don't have any hard feelings over my trying to make sense of this guy and how far a US president can go without congress consent and if he disreguards congress and goes beyond what is specified in the constitution won't he be liable for the deaths and destruction he caused being commander and chief, who in his anger unleashes horrific suffering.   Of course theres no hard feeings! I can very much understand how people who didnt support or vote for trump feel very ambivalent regarding choices he makes. For the record i didnt vote for him either. Im just trying to look at this logically and judge his actions on merit (or lack there of)....

  on the premise of attacking North korea, its really tough. You have to be willing to meet them with force if necessary but as i and many others have already said its a bad bad situation for south korea (an ally) and china (north koreas ally). Its in everyones interests to see things calm down.

  And lastly on the matter of the USA losing ‘supremacy’... i have never viewed the US as a world power through might. Its always been innovation and relative freedom. People want to come here for those reasons. Im reminded of a poignant statement:

  Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.

  Yea like i said its possible. You could df someone for eating a ham sandwhich if you really wanted.... but theres more to it than witness A got a speeding ticket and then was df’d. Theres a lot more to it.

  You can be df’d for eating a ham sandwhich if 3 elders agree on it. That said, i never heard if anyone being df’d for anything that would come as a supprise, never served on a committee that was “unusual” by jw standards. Almost always sex, once or twice drug use. Very hard to see 3 elders df’ing someone over a speeding ticket... but if they already had a grudge against that person i suppose its possible... maybe

  Of course im correct. I dont mean to sound arrogant but acknowledging that is hardely a concession or some magnamious gesture on your part, its a simply logic and understanding of the law.

  Not to derail the thread but i would ask you to back up your assertion that are crimes that fall under the statue for impeachment.

  i hate to say this, but given my own experience as a jw for almost 3 decades, i am beginning to believe the average jw will continue to look to and be guided by the gb regardless of whether they are right or wrong.. despite all the scandals and negative media attention the watchtower organisation is receiving, life seems to go on as normal in jw land.

  it's truly bizarre!!.

  clearly, the gbs tactic of mostly hiding away from the media is clearly working for them.

  Your “beginning” to think?? What evidence have you seen that this will ever change? Of course they will. The so called scandals that interest us as former or inactive or ‘awake’ jw’s mean nothing to the vast majority. They never did and never will.

  Individuals will wake up just as we have and the internet as a whole is massive tool in that but by and large the cult will remain unchanged and unphased. Mormons sda jw’s etc etc... cults “cult”. Thats what they do.
