Cofy is of course correct but those deep cultural divisions predated the world wars even.

There sre deep cultural divisions between the Japanese and Chinese that mean china dosent give a damn about kim threatening japan. No help from them on this one. The sticky wicket on this is that the US cares very much about japan and so cant allow kim to continue to threaten them.
Again, good job to dwight and every president since who ignored and in some cases fueled this situation. Good thing we made sure iran wouldnt get a nuke....

Hollywood messed up another one
by hothabanero ini am a big superhero fan and was looking forward to "the defenders".
the first two episodes are great but then ... liberalism happens.
one of the heroes (luke cage, big black guy) goes on this crazy rant, like a liberals wet dream of the bravehearth speech.

Ironically the problem i had with that little rant from luke cage was that it wasnt true. Danny didnt grow a rich white boy. Grew up in kun lun living as a monk, so f*** you luke cage, who btw, was the worst form of life for liberals, a cop.
The series wasnt that good over all. So many flaws in the story i dont know where to begin, but that little diatribe from luke didnt ruin it, as pointless and ill placed as it was.

"The Governing Body is neither inspired nor infallible. Therefore, it can err in doctrinal matters or in organizational direction." -- Feb 2017 Watchtower
by cognisonance infull stop.
(paragraph 12 -- feburary 2017 watchtower -- who is leading god's people today?
)so why then would any jw abide by harmful doctrines setup by the governing body (blood, shunning, the two-witness rule, etc)?

I agree with your remarks, absolutely! Whats more if they can err on doctrine or in organizational direction.... why follow them to begin with?

Is The Watchtower Corporation Facing A Meltdown Of Confidence Among Its Members?
by Brokeback Watchtower inlooking at all the narcissistic bull shit the watchtower corporation has been spewing out for the world to see about suffering of its members to as nothing worth being very concerned about and as jehovah magnificent be vindicated is much more important.
have they really gone off their rocker enough for a very sizable portion of membership to see their insanity and jump ship?.
i think definitely they are losing all respect from their internet savy members as their madness becomes obvious.

I can understand the hope and the smattering of fun, lv101, but this thread dosent even pretend to offer the slightest shred of evideance regarding some imaginary ‘crisis of confidence’. Theres no facts on attendance or pub numbers or even second hand stories. It simply assumes there is one and moves forward.
Wishing does not make it so.
In the washington dc area, kh are being closed and people shuffled around... im not as well connected as i used to be but i have heard nothing negative. Not a peep. Nobody seems to care... in fact many seem happy for the break up in routine, some praising the gb for being smart with money.
its a cult and its not going away.

Brokeback, this thread has been done a million times by a million different posters and the wt rolls on.
Stop it. You offered absolutely no reason to believe that membership is losing confidence. Not a single anecdotal account for god sake. This thread is less than a pipe dream. There is not one shread of evidence to suggest some mass exodus now or ever. Just stop. The wt will never die outright. The best that will happen is individuals wake up and they can help others. It wont break the borg outright but helping individuals is the real point. Put the wine down and sober up.

My Book With Bible Stories - 91 stories of murder and rape to be used as bedtime stories for your little children
by Anders Andersen in"no honey, daddy doesn't like this book.
do you have a nice book we can read?.
as far as i know my wife and i agree this book would be off-limits.

And i bet, anders, that 99% of the nonviolent stories were Jesus based. Until he was killed, of course. The hebrew scriptures are violent and bloody as hell... and the christain greek promise more of the same to those that dont think exactly like their god.

Charles T Russell -a freemason and the connection to the illuminati...
by dolphman inok, i'm not one for conspiracy theories but lately i've uncovered some interesting facts that i think warrant some attention.. first of all, russell was a freemason.
all the early watchtower and books he authored have freemason symbology and art throughout them.
not a big deal i thought, until i read more about freemasons and the so-called "illuminati", a group of 13 families that supposedly control the world.. supposedly these 13 families, such as the duponts, mcdonalds, kennedys, .
