  Now now slim, lets read what i actually said and not what you want me to have to said...

  i never said the org was A OK. I 100% admitted that they had finical problems and had to retool and revamp the operation.

  Quote me where i said otherwise.

  What i did say was they are not in imminent danger of collapse as you have said over and over.

  Lets simplify this... Your whole argument is based on the premise that they no longer sell books or mags and therefore cannot make money anymore. You have said it a dozen times and we get it.

  HOWEVER your completely wrong. The wt never its money from selling publications. Never. Its always made its money selling hope and dreams of panda petting paradise to people. Books were just the vehicle to do that. As long as people are buying pipe dreams the wt will ALWAYS survive in the same way every other religion has survived, religions that oh by the way NEVER sold books to begin with. Hell most religions have sold nothing since their inception and done very well.

  The org will simply find new ways to separate the sheep from their money as every other religion always has and will have an easier time than most since its a high control cult. Why you are so blind to this i can only assume is your personal wind mill tilt and thats fine, but im not buying that particular brand of crazy today.

  Fisherman, you’ve offered no more evidance than anyone else of your view. For those of us that dont think the org is in danger, we have the ONLY evidance:

  the org is still going. They just built a new hq. they have sold billions in property.

  That is evidance that they are ok. You, slim and those that imagine the sky is falling have nothing but conjecture and hope coupled with inference and dreams.

  The org is fine. Prove otherwise.

  I think a more pressing crisis is the lack of men who are able to be their local area managers. The “elders” really are the only thing propping up the ship.

  That unpaid work force of managers spreading the propaganda, setting the tone locally, making sure people engage in self propagandizing by being at meetings and in field service etc etc is the back bone. Without that segment the org folds and they have issues finding people they think are qualified to handle it. In the washington dc area countless congregations are runnig with 3 or 4 elders. They are burning them out. This area is flush with people, if anywhere shouldnt be short handed its here... but here they are, short handed.

  slim, please dont misunderstand me, i see where they reconized the need to retool and make cut backs because they couldnt sustain it which absolutely means they were going to fail if they didnt change and i dont begrudge you or anyone else the hope that it happens. I just want to be clear that although we dont see this the same we are on the same team, so to speak

  Lol for god sake they have multiple times predicted the end of the world and gotten past it!!! They can do and say anything they want. They wont call it a tithe but thats what it will be. Hell the goddamn kingdom hall perpetual mortgage scam is a tithe! As dreary just said, as long as they have believers in their brand of cult they have survival.

  Slim, the problem with predicting the fincial ruin ,and i hate to repeat myself and make you do the same, is that you assume there is nothing comming in simply because that rubber faced buffoon lett cried poor on a a monthly broadcast. They have cut back yes (it was obviously necessary) but that dosent equate to any sort of imminent demise.

  They have money comming in.

  They are not broke.

  They will tithe before they let themselves collapse.
