  The Watchtower's Real Crisis

  when discussing the watchtowers financial problems, i've generally been of the opinion that they probably are not in a real financial crisis.

  i've come to believe that money may be something of an issue, but its wrapped up in a much larger problem.

  this came to me this morning when reading about the annual meeting.. i think the society's leadership is just plain out of ideas.

  this just in from the 2017 annual meeting:.

  1. watchtowers and awakes won't be released regularly, at least three watchtower and awakes per year.

  6 magazines a year.. 2. a new book is being released: remain in god's love, more of an update like how they did for the what does the bible really teach book.

  Oh boy, here comes steve2 to the rescue again!

  Lets review.... nobody on this forum told fisheman to go away. I dont think anyone minds him or said otherwise.

  we are however trying to help him see the hypocrisy of posting on a site frequented by apostates in direct violation of his organizations policy on these matters. The purpose? I speak only for myself but i hope perhaps one day fisherman can bring himself to admit that he dosent adhere to wt teachings and beliefs as much as he tries to convince himself he does. He dosent need you to save him from that realization or from anything else for that matter.

  Ok so i just had opportunity to be briefly in the company of 6 jw women who had just come from their “annual meeting” viewing (picking my daughter up to get her away from that hell).

  They were typically estatic about the event, a few admitting to dozing off etc etc but their reaction to the cut backs was telling..

  they loved it. They all remarked how much they hate feeling obligated to read new mags all the time and were glad that obligation was being removed. One remarked the year book wasnt nessary since all the good experiances were now on the monthly broadcast. They all quickly agreed watching tv was far better than reading anyway..

  there you have it. Thats how the wt dies. To sounds of cheering and applause as it becomes televanglialisum

  If its the desert god and his organization that you want fo follow... go

  if its worldly and apostate fellowship then... go.

  You cant eat from the desert gods table and the table of apostates.

  Lol fisherman.... you hang out on an apostate site but still cling to parts of wt dogma... you cant limp along on two different opinions. If jw have the truth then go with it. All of it. Including not associating with apostates.

  as you know the question regarding the “kool aid” is related to the tragic events at guyana and jim jones.

  blind obedience and faith in this man resulted in a massive loss of lives.. sometimes we see the same pattern of blind obedience to the watchtower from the witnesses.

  this could be on major items or small details.

  Agreed that ststs would be impossible but i never saw it personally. I saw 3 die from refusing over the years, never heard or even saw a hint of anyone taking blood
