  but what about jesus?

  Here my problem... nobody cares about jesus if isnt the desert gods son. So, as zoos said, of you want to take the general ‘dont be a dick’ teachings of jesus or any other philosophy, im with you all the way. The problem becomes putting jesus on a pedestal because he claimed divinity, specifically to be the son of the aforementioned desert god. If you cant separate his claim of origin from his philosophy then its tainted.

  last night i was listening in as my spouse was on the phone line.

  there was a big "local needs" talk announced and it was speculated to be about the congregation reshuffling.. that ended up to be the case.

  i thought i used to lay it on thick from the platform....... this was the ultimate spin job - worthy of political office or a spot on the governing body.. one thing that stood out "while the numbers may not necessarily indicate it, it is clear jehovah is speeding up the work".

  Life is a grand adventure.

  Ride the highs and endure the lows. If your adventure is kicking your ass at the moment take a new path, burn hotter, burn harder, lay low, do something different but whatever choice you make, make a goddamn choice and do it. Set a fucking goal and go get it. You will feel miles better for the effort, no matter what the goal. And if this is a broken heart post (kinda seems that way), i feel your pain. We all have. Suck that shit up and if you arnt with the one you love..... well you prob know the rest.

  I once saw Peter Mayhew (aka Chewbacca) at Disney's MGM studios. He was there to sign autographs. I've never met him, but we have a mutual friend. And I decided to snap a picture to send to said mutual friend "look who I saw". And sure enough, there's a line of people and he's sitting at a table with a marker in hand. It's clear what he's doing and it's clear there's people lined up. And it's clear what they're lined up for and what their intent is.

  You mean EXACTLY like one i posted just before you? Again, this is what happens when your in a cult that discourages education.

  Excellent post simon and all others who hve commented .This cant be emphasized enough.

  suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. When leaving the cult feelings of being overwhelmed, hopeless and despondent are common. I was there. Get help.

  Suicide is not the answer.
