  District Assemblies now being held at Circuit Assembly locations?

  i haven't been to a kh in decades, so i get the google alerts for jws and i got one featuring a local news channel in brooklyn covering the assembly being held in flatbush, brooklyn.

  i'm sure that venue is where the circuit assemblies are usually held, keeping in mind it's summer and that's when the district assemblies are being held.

  why are they acting like they're so strapped for cash and now holding district assemblies in circuit assemblies locations ?.

  J.W.Sisters are not recognized as part of the 144000 Anointed class by the Governing Body of Jehovah`s Witnesses and never have been.

  rev.14: 1-6 describes the 144000 as males who do not defile themselves with women and are classed as virgins.?.

  how does the governing body of j.w.`s explain that a man having a sexual relationship with a woman defiles a man?.

  isn`t this or shouldn`t this be an affront to women who are jehovah`s witnesses ?

  I don`t believe the G.B.of Jehovah`s witnesses recognizes Sisters/women in the organization as being part of the 144000 mentioned in Rev.14.: 1-6

  come on man. This is text book fake news. Not only have they never said what your thread asserts, they say the exact opposite.

  Lets stick to the dumbassery they actually commit and not make things up based on what you want them to have said.

  If you want an issue of sexism you can just simply point out the fact that women are forbidden from having leadership roles, so much so they have wear a head covering (shades of sharia) if they happen to find themselves in a mans job when no men are around.

  In regard the Richmond Coliseum, I was surprised to learn that this year, the convention was held across the street at the Convention Center. Evidently it is smaller and had uncomfortable seating.

  Yea it was and i heard the same. The coliseum is being renovated, apparently.

  Thats an interesting perspective, dwain. I wonder what the trigger is in terms of size. It would go a long way towards answering why rc’s are smaller now in USA even though there are more witnesses, strictly by head count anyway.

  The slim ‘they are going broke’ theory just dosent make any logical sense.

  I also see the flip side as despicable. The marriage is so sacred.... unless he dosent want his wife out knocking on doors 24/7. Its all about the cult. If something is going to inconvenience you in service to the book publishing company, dont worry! We will add a clause not found in the bible for our convenience, a get out of jail free card... “spiritual endangerment”. They are hypocrites coming and going.

  Lol yes i can agree with that...

  i also agree that its indicative of nothing. The problem is we only know
  our own little area. We would need a couple of pieces data to assess this with any degree of certainty. We would need to know

  A) where the DA (now called RA) was held traditionally and for how long

  B) where the RA is being held now and for how long

  In the washington DC area nothing has changed. For the past 25 years they have used the Richmond Coliseum and still do, barring the advent of an international convention, and before that it was it the capital center. That dosent mean it hasnt changed for other areas but thats the point. Nobody has the complete picture.

  There is one way, if someone were so inclined.... go to the web site and find the listing of the RA locations. Google the addresses and see how many are jw owned and how many are rented. We could then go back to an older KM or wt and pull the same information and compare. They used to print the locations, once upon a time.

  That would at least confirm a trend, if one exsists. The problem for slim and the gloom and doom chorus is that it dosent matter one bit WHERE the assemblies are held, what is relevant is the attendance. There more jw’s today in the USA than there were 10 years ago. Its not collapse if your growing.

  i studied biology at uni and specialised in animal biology (wolf behaviour) but i've always liked natural history.. even if i never went to uni, i'd still be amazed by nature and i'd still watch nature programs on tv.. i'd like start a thread where posters can post nature clips that are in some way amazing.. the vid below shows wild wolves in the canadian arctic encountering humans for the first time.. these wolves haven't been exterminated by human hunters and therefore haven't learnt to fear humans.

  Uni, i dont think thats what vidiot meant by family. I took the statment to mean most species dont engage in cannibalism with the word “family” meaning “their own kind”, not “other carnivores”.

  The reality, however, is that the animal world has examples of cannibalism but i do tend to agree that generally species dont engage in eating their own kind. If a predator like a crocodile imprints on a human then it could be a factor in the phenomenon seen in your video.

  Yep. One year we went to a ca three weeks becore a da. Its stupid.

  They are still holding da’s in big venues. I havnt heard of them holding da’s in small venues in the usa yet, but who knows.
