I studied Biology at uni and specialised in Animal Biology (wolf behaviour) but I've always liked natural history.

Even if I never went to uni, I'd still be amazed by nature and I'd still watch nature programs on TV.

I'd like start a thread where posters can post nature clips that are in some way amazing.

The vid below shows wild wolves in the Canadian Arctic encountering humans for the first time.

These wolves haven't been exterminated by human hunters and therefore haven't learnt to fear humans.

Result: wild wolves approach human strangers almost like dogs. Pretty cool.

just in case you think the pandas are being petted in the paradise in the rest of the globe, wolfs and the like are tearing flocks herds in Wyoming, Germany and other wild places. Ny be the guy did not smell too appetizing.

During a rest in the Rockies, a mountain sheep gave me a good licking with her tongue, to get her share of the salty sweat. Waton, the walking salt lick. Yesterday the wife had a humming bird linger in the mist spray during the plant watering.

Some Wolves are naturally attracted to humans and can be easily domesticated. Studies on the Origins of Dogs seems to indicate that Dogs have come from Wolves:

Dogs..... came from wolves? Are you serious? That ranks right up there with flat earth theory. Where do you people come up with this crap????

Do dogs and wolves look ANYTHING alike??? Do they behave in similar ways??? Do they live in similar social structures???

Jesus i swear, everytime i open this forum im greeted more and more crazy shit. Dogs and wolves. Dear god take your medication and get a grip.

What the hell is next, babies grow into adults??? Grass grows from seeds??? Chickens are somehow related to eggs?

Thankfully, for us Dog Lovers, Dogs come in all shapes and sizes; Wondrous diversity! But the Truth is in the DNA. Dogs and Wolves do mate and have offspring which in turn mate and produce offspring. Wolves in fact may be the Loveliest of all Dogs.

In answer to your question above: They do, actually. Their body language is identical.

One time I was combing my hair in the bathroom when I saw god in the mirror, standing behind me. I turned around to look but it was just my dog.

Wait you studied science and didn't come to realize that JW is Jehovahs organization and sole channel on earth? You must not be good scientist!

Go back to school you atheist!

Then we put your new experience in magazine - yay!

    He wanted to play sticks!!

Me I'd be petting them, feeding them - Not good I know - to domesticate or make them like us with those beautiful coats 😬someone might try to take it from them.

They were not as large as some wolves I've seen.

I'm so jealous @LoveUni since childhood I wanted to study zoology. I even checked it out but back then they only did the course in Edinburgh and Cambridge and I doubt they would take mature students, too prestigious. I used to watch ants for hours and hours.

This is my dream....I would sell my soul ( if I had one, so sadly I can't) to experience this.https://youtu.be/2uDkafiQFC0
