  The so called apology was full of weasel phrases and basically said “hey im always double checking and in always right... just this one time someone i trusted screwed me”. Never his fault. Ever. Hes a douche and this is just another in a long line of douche moves. He looks like an ass. The post was CLEARLY satire and he was so quick to believe because he wanted to get it out and be “first” and take credit. It was an asshat move designed to steal thunder and make himself look ‘tied in’ and ‘in the know’ before someone else could do it... he got burned for it and looks like the fucking asshole he is. Hahahahahahahahahahahavahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  Normally, and i say normally, i would call you a kook or a conspiracy theorist and dismiss you abruptly....

  However, this is interesting for a specific reason. The bodys of elders are directed, when introducing speakers at the circuit level and regional level as well as when announcing appointments even on the congregation level, to use full legal names. Its very specific.

  It was also somewhat inconvenient for me because, for as long as i can remember, i had been addressed by middle name. My father and I share my first name. To avoid confusion i always went by my middle name. So when this whole use “you must use the full name” thing came to pass about 10 years ago it caused no end of confusion when introducing me. Even the night i was appointed as an elder, people thought it was my father. Who wasnt even in our congregation.

  So why do those two clowns get away with it? I dont think they are pedos or hiding from anything in such a high profile position... but it smacks of the sort of “we are above the rules” crap i hate.

  this has been mentioned in passing but it seems to deserve its own thread.. this year at the rc, no releases.

  instead they wait to drop them at the annual meeting which isnt a even simulcast event.

  what is their thinking?

  Ok leon, that makes sense. I continue to point out that they already stopped handing out hard copies at the rc but i think some have been away for so long they cant adjust to that, having never seen it...

  if it is an attempt to synchronize release, and that makes more sense than anything i have thought of, it is, i think, a bad move. It devalues the RC. People will stop caring pretty quickly.

  And thank you, sir82, for the collapse tie in. I was begining to feel weird and i couldnt figure out why 😂😂😂

  Db, your missing the point. It IS a big deal, but only because its when they choose to release it.

  I cant buy the editing excuse. They have 50+ years of practice with this. They know how to edit and prepare books for rc release dates.

  And again the money thing dosent wash either. They already were not releasing hard copies at conventions. This is a weird weird move. The annual meeting is indeed invitation only and it wasnt simulcast to all halls. Why release these things so quietly?

  I am open to all suggestions but so far nothing makes sense beyond a move away from the importance of the rc.
