  i was rather surprised today as i explored some archaeological news for my macquarie asian history fb page, to be suddenly confronted with this heading in the israeli haaretz media site.. before herzl, there was pastor russell: a neglected chapter of zionism.

  years before theodor herzl proposed creating a jewish state, charles taze russell was traveling the world holding jewish mass meetings, beginning in 1879, at which he urged jews to find a national home in eretz israel.

  If this thread was titled to create the illusion that somehow wt hq had approved a blood transfusion, the whole thread is an epic fail.

  If it was designed to draw attention to the general contradiction in jw logic, that you can do anything you want before your baptized, including taking blood, and be forgiven, im not sure thats newsworthy. All christians believe that, hence the “death bed” conversions of centuries past.

  That the loony jw of your story claims to be anointed is of no value to the story one way or another.

  Just a small dose of logic laced cold water. Continue on.

  in crisis of conscience, raymond franz reproduces a letter sent to him from someone representing the governing body in which they thank him for returning the text, governing body procedure.

  franz says nothing about this text any other place in the work, but i've been trying to track it down, because it sounds like another confidential manual like shepherd the flock of god.

  i doubt it's been leaked (i'm shocked, pleasantly, that we even have circuit overseer guidelines, the confidential manual used by circuit overseers) but you never know.. is anyone else familiar with this work?

  My post was not relevant. I was confirming the publications exisistance but you already knew it was real. I dont have a link for a copy, but second hand, i hear its dry. Simple procedures on weekly meetings etc etc... not even as interesting as the flock book.

  i believe that just because someone shows up at the voting booth, it doesn’t automatically qualify them to be legitimate voters.

  Has it ever occured to anyone in the USA that your country is just too big to manage as a fair democracy (in terms of people numbers not land mass) and maybe the whole federated states thing is becoming tricky to manage?
