Ive used it once or twice........even though Im a good liar, no one believes the "its not you, its me" speech - its another way of saying "We are not compatible, oh and there is someone else I like better...."

10 mins? You can cover a lot in 10 minutes - lets not forget that. I mean if she was slightly ugly u could talk to her for a little longer without feeling intimidated (thus more being urself). Damn attractive girls! lol.......anyway, hope it works out dude

That would have to be a Trolley Collector. That was THE BEST JOB EVER! (for the amount of work I did) Rostered on for 5 hours and worked only 1 of them. The other 4 consisted of sitting in store, watching television and eating from the deli they had there. Like I said the BEST. I returned to the premises today, ahhhhhh the memories. Im happier at my current job now....... well, only because I get paid triple what I did as a trolley collector

Do you think some people are better off with the borg?
by new light ini work with someone who is df'ed, actually my cousin.
he is trying to get reinstated.
we got into a semi-heated discussion and i gave him a lot of my anti-wt viewpoints, trying to get him to think for himself.

absolutely.......some ppl just arent wired to think for themselves. In my opinion, the weaker, more vulnerable, sick and ppl without direction/purpose are more inclined to cling onto 'hope" of a better life. Feeling and being a part of something is better than being a part of nothing. I wouldnt dare inform many wts of what goes on "behind the scenes", this would disrupt the order of their natural lives. I mean its what you know right???? Some nuts are better left untouched.

I am a *CRACK ADDICT*
by Funchback init's an addiction that i have tried to stop since i was a young boy.
my friends and loved ones have tried to encourage me to quit, but i just can't.
when i used to attend meetings, i would feed my addiction right there in the kingdom hall.

I know EXACTLY what you mean. Esp when you said once you start you HAVE TO finish. This is very true, because if you dont the cycle of cracking is disturbed. If one does not finish cracking, Id rather be elsewhere. I crack my big toe often. I believe cracking relaxes you momuntarily, and only that!

Uplifting music
by El blanko inhi there and good day to you all .... i purchased an album yesterday which has just been released called immortal memory by lisa gerrard & patrick cassidy, it really is beautiful in places and has a certain uplifting meloncholy throughout.
i know that sounds contradictory, but really, the first few tracks really tug at the heart strings.. if you need an aural and highly textured experience, this album is worth going for.
it really helped lift my mood and is playing in the background as i work.. one track features the lords prayer sung in aramaic taken from the peshitta version of the holy scriptures.. if you do not know who lisa gerrard is, she used to sing with a group called dead can dance and is probably most noted for her vocal work in the film gladiator.

I have all TOOL and A Perfect Circle records. Maynard (lead singer) has a dark vision. The music is very hard to listen to, great concentration is required. Those records are now gathering dust, still Maynard James Keenan is without doubt, in my mind, the best vocalist out there.
While on soundtracks, I like Vanilla Sky, Sigur Ros "Untitled 4" ....."Solsbury Hill" by Peter Gabriel is uplifting -

"Godspeed you! black emperor" - a nine piece from Canada talking about the world ending (although they have no lead vocalist), mainly violin orientated, ambient sounding. All long pieces of music, 15 mins plus.
I find "The Messenger" by another canadian band :"The Tea Party" to be most uplifting
"Thirty-Three" by "The Smashing Pumpkins" to be more beautiful and heart felt.
loads more, but hey... -

Uplifting music? Im mainly alternative/metal, so it would be hard to had out any recommedations for "uplifting" because our definitions may differ.
Uplifting has the reverse affect on me. For example, music that is considered depressing I would consider uplifting. However, if you are a fan of the movie "Shawshank Redemption", there is a part in the movie where Andy (Tim Robbins) hi-jacks the tower and plays some italian music, that was MOST uplifting. I dont know the song title though.
A song on the 9/11 crisis "When the Eagle Cries" by the band "Iced Earth"
