sns, I so totally agree with you about their not having a life and having to fill it with gossip. That's how it was in our hall. But the sickest part was the way they would be so judgemental, looking down on them. And it always started with something simple...then onto the complete dissection of the persons worth, and eternal salvation. ICK!

Gossip
by Sassy indid you ever notice when you were a jw, that even though we were told not to gossip, told it could be as serious as a disfellowshiping offense, but everyone still gossiped any way.
sometimes i think they have their gossip circles much worse than anyone else.
people in the 'world' have a life.

Hi all
by AJN ini was a jw about 15 years ago and have been reading these forums for a while.
it took a long time to get over the fear of armageddon for sure.
my 18 year old is still a jw (we live at opposit ends of the world) and i have found your information really useful as i am preparing some kind of telephone 'presentation', as it were, regarding jw beliefs and the difference between jw and the other christian churches and what the message of jesus was.

Sometimes...but mostly not. My story is so cultishly scary that I usuallly have to be good friends first before I talk about it. But it does seem that people do look at you differently once you tell them. My fiance gets totally angry about it...

I got Fired!

Rejection by a Six Year Old

this morning while eating breakfast with my parents and my six year old nephew at a local fast food restaurant, some jws came in for their morning break.
my folks and i are all inactive, so i leaned over and said, "i hope they didn't see us.

Congrats Robotnomore! I am amazed at how many of you all remember the official day. When I got df'd I have no idea. I know when I talked to the elders, but when they read the announcement I have no idea. Isn't it amazing how different you look at things now? The more to get away from it the happier you are it seems!

crowds....when people are pressing me all around, I have trouble breathing, and get very agitated...I want to scream at them "get the f*** out of my way!!!!" I used to get it at every district conv.
