Daughter Has Lump On Throat
by Corvin inlast week, my middle daughter, 15, found a large lump in her throat.
it was about the size of a quarter.
when she pointed it out, it was very visible.. the doctor said, after viewing the ultra-sound pics, that it was either a cyst with an unusual hardened mass inside or a carsanoma, [not sure of spelling] a cancer attached to her thyroid.

Corvin, so sorry to hear. Isn't it just like the JW's to disappear? Well, we won't. Thoughts and hugs to you and your daughter!!!!

JW's are fascinated with misery! This is what drove my daughter away from them. I got df'd, and when ever she saw the family and dubs would stop by etc, they would pretend to be interested and ask all about me and how I was. But later, if she went out in service (dad still JW) they would talk all about other people and their problems. She got old enough to figure out that the info she gave them about me what what they would talk about in service when she wasn't there. She said they would hash all the details over and then everybody would give their disapproving opinions etc. How they disgust me!

Welcome! For me it was the injustice and lack of love I witnessed and was affected by personally. My ex husband/elder had an affair with my best friend, also a regular pioneer, was emotionally and physically abusive my entire marriage. All o this came out about the abuse, the elders did nothing. They then wrote the society, and they came back and said that they really could not get involved in a marrital dispute. He was stalking me at the time, police repts accrued up the wazoo and still they said that there was nothing anyone could do. Then, he beat my mother and myself up...need I say more!? So here came my realization: The society could tell me what kind of sex I was allowed to have (no masterbation or oral sex etc), but they could not intervene when bodily harm was involved!!! What hypocrites!!! My stint at bethel didn't help either. It was the most political and gossipy place I have ever seen in my life.
I hope your wife will see the "real" truth and get out of there! Good luck!

OMG Blondie! I almost forgot those days!!!! I was still a kid...sat there for 8 days in an outdoor stadium either freezing at night or frying in the sun during the day. And lets not forget my mother pinching my arm everytime I squirmed! After 1 day, I was an all over bruise, and by day eight, I was completely comatose! Oh how I hated them!

I wrote a letter of complaint about a Witness....
by Dolllie inand sent it to the watchtower society.
the witness was/is a "racist".
i was told by her that i could not go to the local kingdom hall, or have a copy of the watchtower or awake because i was black.

Littlemike, welcome! So glad to have you here. Yes, for a long while I did feel like I had wasted my life. I am 42 and tried to fade away 12 yrs ago. I really couldn't since parents are fanatical, got df'd a few years ago. I went through a time where I felt I had missed out on so many things. But you know what? It is never too late! I got past the hurting/regret part of my healing and went forward. I went out and did everything I had wanted to do and never could! It was amazing. Sometimes, you would think I was still a teenager, but I enjoyed every minute of it all.
Eventually, you will get past some of these feelings. And when you do, grab life and everything it has to offer and then just promise yourself that you will live in the present. Don''t look back and look at the future with all the cool things you can now do. Use your past as a springboard, not a sofa! Best wishes!
PS: You also give me hope that my father will finally wake up like you did. He is very devout w/ circuit assembly parts etc too. Maybe he will listen to his doubts (I hope he has some!). Thanks for giving me that hope!

Oh by far it was the daily text. My dad was so sure we had to have it read to us and then discussed every single day before school. Said it was a protection for us. If we were running late, he would stand on the porch and yell it to us as we ran down the street to the bus. Talk about embarrassing!!!!
