i see some posters that automatically raise suspicions because of how they state things.
others, after reading what they have to say over a period of time, show their true colors.
It isn't lying or hypocrisy. If the WTS uses Theocratic Warfare to mislead those who do not need to know what is going on, why can't we do so as well?
Oh, and I'm a phony as well. I am really 5'-2" tall, weigh 250 lbs, have horrible dandruff, and can't even whistle. I just pretend to be a well-tanned(or a high risk skin cancer subject), 6'-2" volleyball player that was df'd after over 30 years in.

Selfish power: Reading/altering other people's thoughts.
Selfless power: Able to heal any infirmity/handicap by touch. Could be tough to handle if found out. It would have to be a hidden power so no one would know who healed who.
Cathy, member of the TVWA, you really should look into getting a DVR. Most of those showtimes conflict with each other. A VCR almost doesn't cut it these days if you're a hardcore TV enthusiast.

Lie. How do they define "private?" Private should mean only between the WTS and the one posing the question. But if a special question is raised, such as asking where the FDS gets their authority, the reply letter is CC:'d back to the local BoE. How's that for privacy?
so does anyone like to collect things, such as stamps, or figurines, cards, pottery or whatever?
i am a person who is a little pack rat, and i must admitt i have some cool collections, such as a my 1920 royal doulton minature toby's and waterford crystal wine glassses.
i have alot of pottery and earthenware that i also enjoy.

I noticed that at first too. The problem was, if we had friends over for dinner, I would break out one of my classics so that everyone could enjoy a good bottle. Now that these friends don't come over anymore(thanks to being df'd), I've found that I am more apt to keep the classics to myself and my wife. I tend to buy WS rated wines in the range of 87-90 for casual drinking, and the better ones only for special occasions.
Unlike Leolaia's collection of old candy bars, at least we can consume our collections!

I have heard this so many times from many different people. Most of the time, it was from the pioneers that lived in extremely hot and/or humid parts of the country. But in their case, they would try to put in 20-30 hours more per month to offset the summer months right before September. They would basically take off the summer months and only go out for 5-10 hours each month. The extra hours that they did in the winter supplemented the lower hours in the summer. And they always were telling each other, "I've only got 20 more hours to go until I hit 1080 hours." And this would be in June. Other pioneers would be jealous because some of them didn't go out extra in the winter.
It's all about hitting that precious quota. You never heard them talking about studies or interested people that they met at the door.
