fwiw, i'm an avid runner as well. i also have my navel pierced. i ran pre-piercing and continue to do so post-piercing, and noticed no difference in my performance. but i guess everyone is affected by different things, and princess, i'm glad you found something that works for you.

by Englishman ini'm absolutely stunned by this.. a bunch of girls - well, 30-somethings anyway - down the pub have admitted to rubbing hemorrhoid cream around their eyes so as to look younger.. apparently, the salve's shrinking properties is great to reduce eye-bags and crows feet better than anything on the market.
it's also extremely cheap compared to facial creams.. anusol rules!.

A culture of conservationism?
by seattleniceguy ini'm currently going back to school to study biology and biomimicry.
i'm hoping to work to develop green technologies - better energy sources, better product packaging, better waste disposal, and so on.
i'm concerned for the earth, and i sometimes wish that everyone would suddenly start consuming less or more responsibly, but i realize that it simply will not happen overnight.

i've noticed a great increase in environmental awareness over the last few years here in sacramento. most people i know recycle. i guess i notice the dietary aspect of environmental consciousness more than anything else due to my veganism, and in that regard i've noticed a HUGE difference in recent years. when i first went vegan seven years ago there was such a dearth of resources available for veg*ns, and now there are several organic grocery stores that cater to veg*ns as well as a ton of veg*n restaurants, etc. things are trending positive. :)

y'know family is always family, and that has to be the closest bond - right up there with life-partner (but you get to choose the latter .
below (and currently my avatar) is a pic of my eldest nephew, taken about a year ago.. frankly i don't know what i'd do if anything happened to him.
