ok ok....don't bite at the "apostate" label.

but recently someone on here told me that disaffected/inactive/d/f jws now must out number jws as a whole.. i (funny enough) disagreed.

does anyone have proof otherwise?

The numbers I'd hear announced were for the USA only. I have never heard worldwide stats for DF'ing.

i don't know what eles to call it , i guess it is the user name....lol.......so what does yours mean?.

i think awhile back i might have asked this,,,,,,,but it was way back and so many new ones here that i am just getting to know, and ones who came in here while i was not here as much.

there may be a thread on this in the last recent months, i am not sure,,,,if so, if there are any new ones who want to tell why they choose their user names,,,,,please do.. i will tell you why my name is lyineyes,,,,,many have asked me that here lately.

I've chosen as my alias (the) Flash (fastest man alive) because of how he is portrayed in the cartoon The Justice League. He is spontaneous, carefree and outspoken, completely genuine. Things we are discouraged being as Witnesses.

so do you brown bag it, skip it, drink coffee instead, take out or dine out?.

i love to go out for lunch...... we have good mexican restaurants around here and sushi bars.

we also have a bbq here at work and we will make grocery runs so we can bbq up some nice steaks!

Each year their announced number for DF'd was 35,000 (are they still using that?) For all the love of statistics they have you'd think they'd give an accurate break down ie New vs Non attendees. I'm sure they are out numbered and would be embarrassed if the true tallies were known.

I wouldn't announce it...but I wouldn't return either. For what, to be manipulated by guilt, fear and self doubt again. To become a slave of men again???

The Memorial I will go to, but that's it! I've had my fill of Kool-Aid!!!

Besides, we couldn't relate...I THINK FOR MYSELF!

Question for those who were christian BEFORE a JW.

i was talking to another apostate heathen bastard ex-dub the other day and he told me his son...also ex-dub...is taking a college course in religions.

he said his son mentioned he learned of love and unity among many beliefs he's learning about.

i changed the subject and it made me think of the love and unity i have personally seen when i was doing the lord thing at various churches.

Good point, this is one I had never thought to question while I was active.

I was a 'born and raised' Catholic where there was no feeling of brotherhood. In the Army I once went to a Southern Baptist service where there was an abundance of brotherly love!
