CO calls meeting to discuss association with my parents

i'm so furious at the moment my keyboard is smoking whilst i'm typing this message.

i just got informed through one of my contacts that at the recent visit to my parents cong the visiting co brought the elders together to discusss with my father who is still an elder, to decide if he should be allowed to associate or even speak with me.

who in the hell do they think they are?

Who in the hell do they think they are? I have never been disfellowshipped and have yet to disassociate myself.

The Witnesses aways follow the lead of the GB and it is through these kinds of abuses over the decades that they have been proving exactly what kind of Slave they really are (Matthew 24:48, 49 and Luke 12:45). IMO, Since 1914 the when Armageddon didn't come, those leading God's people have been continualy "beating" them with endless oppressive rules and restrictions.

genesis 6:5-7, 8:21. god decides to send a great flood to kill all humans, save noah and his family, because man's heart is evil.

"and god saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.... and the lord said, i will destroy man whom i have created from the face of the earth.".

later, after the flood waters recede, god promises never to do it again because man's heart is evil.

Yes, I think He does and your Genesis example is clear proof for those willing to see it for what it is. I think as humans we have elevated God beyond what He really is. That fact we are 'made in His image' has meaning (I believe) that goes much deeper than humanity up until this time has been willing to consider.

Why does a perfect God change his mind about how to deal with us when we have not changed?

The question is "Why do we attribute so much to being perfect?" Perfection is the flawless ability to remain within Law, that is to not sin, to not commit lawlessness. I have not seen anywhere in the Bible where it stated that being perfect makes it impossible for us (or God) to make a less ideal choice or a mistake. If a perfect individual is doing something for the very first time or learning something new, why do we assume it will be flawlessly executed with NO ROOM for improvement the first and every time? Where then is there room for personal growth for us, the Angels and yes, even for GOD??

is that why there are two "deaths"?

Flash, how do we do it "lawfully"?

Lawfully IMO, would mean in imitation of Him not in competition with Him. Satan is competing with Him for authority. Having the authority God has as Creator is not the same as being "like" Him in all other areas.

I still say there is nothing wrong with "wanting to be like God". What???? Should I want to be like a FROG?

We should want to be "like" God except we need to learn to do it "lawfully" and not try to steal it...His Son is like Him.

i have been lurking for some time and only recently started to post if you have seen my posts, i have always represented myself as a loyal jw and one who is planning to stay in however, lately my faith and commitment as a jw has been tested and, without going into details, i am having problems of faith and life that i could really use some help on.

if so, you might ask, why dont i just leave?

well, i have a wife that is a very devout jw and she would be crushed and very upset if i quit she believes it all 100% and lives to worship the borg in fact, she would be very upset if she even knew i was visiting this site.

I tried what you are considering a number of times before I finaly left, I could do only it short term, being true to myself always over-powered my efforts at pretense. I found that Jesus knew exactly what he was saying at Matthew 12: 34b ...I couldn't keep it up...I couldn't live a lie.

FORGET MY PARANOIA! I'M IN THE SHOW!!!!!!

well, i been signed to a modeling agency since april of 05. besides your boring "stand here and look pretty" kind of jobs i still have wasn't finding any real work.

but saturday i went to a go-see for some local designer who was looking for models to be in her next runway show.

of course, i have absolutely no expierence in doing runway and i swear i have two left feet
