often the witnesses will say that someone is weak in the truth, if they don't do as much as the others.
i don't think that they use the right expression, because someone could just be less interested in these things, but not weak.
no one likes to be labeled "weak", so i wonder if this is not another way the watchtower has to make someone feel guilty, so that we will do more, just to be accepted by the others in the congregation?
When I was around Witnesses more, I heard a young man referred to as "weak" because he didn't keep up on the readings. Turns out the guy can barely read - he was doing the best he could and received criticism instead of support. Very sad. :(

I will add to the welcomes!! My husband is a fading / inactive Witness, and this is the first Memorial he's missed. He didn't even notice -- I had to call to his attention that he hasn't missed one 'til now. :)

i guy i occasionally work with got sent to iraq for this last war.
he has been there nearly a year.
he just came back, and had this interesting and good story.. while he was there, after the major fighting was over, he and his unit built 3 complete schools for the local iraqi children.

It's humbling to think that there are MANY places in the world - not just Iraq - where children go without schools... and clean water... and other basic necessities. I wish we could do more for all of them.
