i would like to know why jws can't enter another church,for funerals or anything?
I used to be afraid of Churches,thought i would see demons popping up everywhere,even looked for them,this is the crazy world and mindset of JWS,.....suggest 'placing'all WT and Awakes in the ...............................BIN,
i was raised a jehovah's witness and like most are aware, they presently belive that by and large everyone who dies ceases to exist.
i accepted this fate for most of my life and i guess i still do for the most part, but now that i do not go to the meetings what am i to accept death to be, as i will die as well as my friends and family at some point.
i think that idea of being in gods memory made sense to me as i have excepted it for forty five of my fifty years of being alive.

I know of B/A christians who go into Kingdom Halls as interested persons ,borrow books usually with names or addresses,note the address then send then Christmas cards with a Christian tract or message.
last year i had a new cooker,the previous year,microwave,household items and pigs (I collect piggin)this year some perfume,new posh clothes would be nice(hopefully)

Oh deary me.step outside for a moment and see what is really going on.talk to victims of abuse,And all the Elders being arrested?and all the Elders being demoted?I am sorry but you must wake up to the facts,While The elders are to b respected in your eyes,they must not abuse,sadly today more and more Elders are being exposed for their evil deeds.Spiritual shephards they are not!

well, the shunning begins.
we finally had "the" discussion with my parents, that we no longer consider ourselves jw's, and a little bit of why we felt that way.
of course, "dad the elder and po" and mom the pioneer dutifully informed us that not only will they be "loyal to the organization" and shun us completely, but that he would immediately let the other elders know, so that proper judicial action could be taken.. it was a heart wrenching discussion, with all of us, including my two young boys (9 and 10) all balling our eyes out.

So sorry to hear of your situation,I can only begin to imagine how you must feel,Shunning is a terrible ordeal,i have experienced this recently but only from friends and that hurt,Family..well that is really hard.The emotional roller coaster ride of leaving JWS is bad enough,You see how far away from scriptures they have gone,they are a law unto themselves.Church discipline is scriptural,but like everything JWS do they put their own meanings onto it,and take it to extremes.

I celebrate some,let me tell you how most JWS compromise.One special pioneer lady would celebrate Christmas in october and give presents.others compromise by giving gifts one day before or after.Others have Christmas dinner turkey etc:and say well it is just food.I was invited to a few peoples homes for turkey dinner on Christmas day (One was an Elder) same for Easter,they would buy the eggs and give before or after,same for birthdays just choose a different day and call it something else.also lots of JWS who are in mixed marriages have never not celebrated,saying:it is for their partner..or whatever....it's a joke...
I have worked in retail.so have seen the commercial side to everything.Not nice,too materialistic,I prefer everything to be simpler.I saw elderly people struggling to buy for everyone,I saw people who could not afford to buy run up their credit cards,not nice,keep it simple

THE ELDERS,......theENLIGHTENED ONES......????no absolutely not.not in my experience anyway,about as much good asa chocolate tea pot........I know some lovely brothers/sisters,who really love God and want to do what is right.....Some Elders are sincere,but are not experienced,or lack empathy.....I am out of the JWS now,while i was IN would not talk now I do.I joined JWS in 1979,I looked up to the Elders and respected them.some years down the line however,the rose coloured glasses came off.I know of so many awful stories about Elders.....
Sisters would tell me of visits to their homes,for shepharding calls.I have since learned more from exelders,of events that took place.Here in my town,one sister took on the KH and they got her arrested for harrassment.her crime?shouting,challenging,speaking out,(she was very emotional and distressed).another elderly lady who was talking to 'apostates'was visited by the Elders and they told her her phone was bugged.Another brother years ago was counselled by Elders for reading 'apostate'info,all his family were JWS.he ended up in a mental hospital,still suffers from depression....Another young girl aged 28,spoke up to an Elder in the chemist shop one day,told the Elder off,and he whispered in her ear,(Why don't you call the police then).He is about 6ft 4in she is 5ft2in.
He went home and called the police to her,she lives with her Mother exJW and grandmother who is ill,This did not deter them,closing ranks is something they do also lie,i know all these people i have mentioned.don't let them scare you.I was scared for so long...but not now.ecclesiastical privalages.do not allow for anything else.(oh and also some tell their wives what goes on,what should be confidential)
they are just men wielding power and influence over people's lives,...dont let them worry you.

Forgot to mention.The same Elder who came to discipline me and answer my questions,in PRIVATE conversation said,He did not beleive everything coming through the Watchtower either,but waited on jah.There are many many,Elders who think like this,you would be amazed how many.So do not be afraid of them.Also a very super intelligent Elder,who i cared for very much came to see me He too said check everything out,and also he did not agree with lots of WT material,also he KNEW all of the so-called 'apostate'stuff,all that you and I were not allowed to read,he had it all.
They are hypocrites,

Hi,
having been submissive to those taking the lead,having the Book study in my home for years and not making*waves*I had a row with my book study conductor /Elder,He then went to the PO told him then it was announced from the platform,Even though the Elder was in the wrong.THE TALK WAS ABOUT ME,daring to challenge the Elder.I was amazed,and this was my first encounter with the velvet glove coming off and the iron fist being waved at me.
i still remained a JW later the same Elder was counselling someone whose daughter had been abused,The Mother was a good friend of mine,she was told to keep it to herself,she told me,and i was disgusted,but as a loyal JW remained silent.about 3-4 yrs ago when i discovered all the so-called 'apostate'stuff ,I challenged all the Elders and London Bethal,I had the Elders around my house I really was looking for answers wanted the truth,They were covering up.The same Elder was trying to discipline me,the other Elder was compassionate,i was confused.as i gathered more information i asked more questions,and more Elders came,I told them in no uncertain terms what i thought,i told them it is no good you coming here like the Gestapo I do not scare that easily,I told them they were in a satanic cult,I resigned,told them not to bother calling me in,that i would not attend.
then when the paedophile stories came out,I remembered form years ago the abuse,I kept a letter from all those years ago from the MotherJW friend (now deceased).I told the police,and my local MP.and gave statements of other different abuse .The police were brilliant,they persued it all but could not prove anything,nevertheless the KH was shaken up a bit,and it is all on record,I received 2 letters from MP.
Since all this i have come to Jesus,and now try to help others.The WT controls by FEAR and the word they preach is OBEY.when you are set free in Jesus this fear dissapears,In the KH i did not have a voice,now i have one and I am using it.Not revenge,but for those who are trapped inside this dreadful cult.there is nothing wrong with 'taking on'the Elders,or anyone who is promoting falseness.
We have a saying here in the UK 'They are just a bunch of window cleaners'.......Most JWS are over here.
I was in the street one day an elder was walking towards me,saw me and retreated (now that i am satans person).another Elder crossed the road to speak to me .He is half in and half out,staying at the KH mostly for his family.I have also been on Reachout trust Forum,here we have active WT JWS trying to silence us.why not join in
