But on Nov. 8 she appeared in court in Markham and asked that both the protection order and the abuse charges be dismissed.
"The victim didn't wish to proceed," said Marcy Jensen, a spokeswoman for the Cook County state's attorney's office. "We don't know why."

Your right, I would bet anything that the elders talked her into dropping the protection order and dropping the charges. Just more lives that th WTBTS is bloodguilty of by having such well trained men directing the flock. More interested in the image that they present than protecting anybody.

as many of you may recall, earlier this year i tried to join the navy.

they poked, prodded, and measured me around the waist.

Congradulations Czar.

The payscale is the same for all the services. The quality of life in the Airforce is so much better than any of the other services. Not sure about the other services but the Navy does offer pretty good bonuses in certain ratings. If I remember form previouse posts you where trying for crypto, which is a technical field. Technical fields are where the good bonuses are.

has anyone ever switched cel phones?

now you can take your number to a new company - at least in the usa.

i was wondering if anybody had done it and how it worked and whether they had to pay the early termination fee... etc... etc... etc.... any input?.

I have done this a few days ago. I have had Suncom for a almost 3 years and wasn't on a contract anymore. I was on a month to month basis so I didn't have to pay any penalty for breaking a contract. But....my number isn't al the way ported yet. I make my outgoing calls on the new phone (Alltel) and incoming is still on old phone. I am going to have to follow up on why it is taking so long to port my number 100%.

How were you disfellowshiped????

i'm pretty new to this forum.

i thought it was pretty intresting so i thought i would share my experiences.

when i was 17 i was disfellowshiped and as i sat there looking at all of the elders i was remembering all of the things that their children had done.

I never had a JC that I attended. I was through with all the BS and when my "good" JW wife wanted to be with somebody else and left me, 2 elders stopped by my house to see what was up. So I lied to them and told them that I committed adultry, showed them the door and told them to never come back. I have never been to a kingdumb hall since then. I don't even know if I am DF'd or DA'd.

What branch of military are you in?

I am in the Navy.

i just wanted to introduce myself and tell everyone that i have enjoyed many of the posts.

i wish that this resource was available 7 years ago when i walked away from the organization, it would have helped my transition a great deal.

i also wanted to say that it is enjoyable to come to a forum that is not on an angry rant about the organization on a constant basis.
