I'm pretty new to this forum. I thought it was pretty intresting so I thought I would share my experiences. When I was 17 I was disfellowshiped and as I sat there looking at all of the elders I was remembering all of the things that their children had done. One elders son was sleeping with an MS wife, another other elders son I smoked weed with, the third elders son was gay and his daughter, a pioneer was cheating on her husband and the last elders daughter was sexually molesting a young boy that she baby sat. I was relieved when I walked out of that KH that day and never went back. My parents eventually left the congregation years later. I am 26 years old and am married with two kids, in the military and I have never been happier. I don't have a desire to persue any type of religion and don't think I ever will again. I would love to hear everybody elses experiences.

Weclome to the board tcmp. I'm glad you've found your peace now. My jc was similar, I knew all about what elders kids had done what and got away with it. My girlfriend developed a conscience and went to the elders in her hall to tell them we were sleeping togetherWe both had jc's in our seperate halls. She was found to not have a case to answer to, even though she had admited it, while I was found guilty and DF'd. Her father used to be the PO and was on of the circuit heavies....................

I was dfd 2 years ago...I started a relationship with my female boss from work...and started smoking....i wrote a letter that they should not phone me, not come to my house, and that I would not answer any questions....I knew that that was the way to get the most time before I woulde be officially dfd...So I had alot of time to get to terms with the idea of losing family and friends....I quit the so called truth in May and was dfd 31 December (isn't that a lovely day to start a new life)...after 3 official letters by the elders from my former congregation.
So I didn't have weird, nasty, humiliating conversations with elders...or am I a coward now? I don't think so...I just saved myself by doing that...

Framing false accusations in the form of a QUESTION..Example,"Brother Haszard we were "asked" if you were a faggot? When we were "asked" if you were a faggot.We said no!.
This sleazy tactic is a subterfuge to isolate them from court depositions.{so you can't actually pin them down on their say-so's.This is just a variation of the age old ,'loaded question' or rhetorical question..

I never had a JC that I attended. I was through with all the BS and when my "good" JW wife wanted to be with somebody else and left me, 2 elders stopped by my house to see what was up. So I lied to them and told them that I committed adultry, showed them the door and told them to never come back. I have never been to a kingdumb hall since then. I don't even know if I am DF'd or DA'd.

I was homeless and drug addicted, so I needed a place to stay, my parents agreed to take me in only if I admitted everything to the elders. So I had my Juducial hearing with elders I knew since I was 12 years old. I know one of the elders daughters was also a crack addict and she was DF'd about 5 years before me. I wasn't sad, I was kind of happy knowing I didn't have these crazy people watching over me anymore.

Hmmm, let's see, my "Good" JW husband had been cheating on my for 7 out of the 11 years we were married. I finally cheated too. I fell in love with the person and left my JW husband. He ran right to the elders and told them what a bad little boy he had been and they then called me at work and told me I had to come meet with the elders. I told them no. They called me three days later and told me I had been disfellowshipped. WOO HOO! That was eight years ago and I am happier than I have ever been in my life. The ex and the gal he was screwing at the time got married three months after the divorce and they are still "good" JWS. Ha!

Welcome to the board tc.
At the time I was DFed....I was still a brainwashed witness. I encouraged the DFing because I had "failed" many times with tobacco and pain med abuse. They let me off the hook many times because they knew I was a good guy with a problem. They decided the last time it would be best to give me the ax as I suggested. Within less than a year, my exit began with a string of events which led to reading COC and a few other books, internet, etc., which led me out.
