Night of the Living Dead
by JamesThomas inwhen you sit and ponder, it is plain that life is lived in the moment.
often times, if not always, the most joyous moments are those when we are so present that all thoughts of "me" are gone and there is just this vibrant aliveness, beauty and warmth.
it's as if we have dissolved into life.

... but wouldn't pizza be okay if you didn't eat the crust? Well, maybe a few alterations: lowfat mozzarella cheese, leaner meats, and permissable vegetables?

P.S. Sorry for the resurrection of your SBD threads, Mulan. Looks like I'm about 7 months late for these SBD discussions! ;-)

South Beach Diet update again
by Mulan ini have gotten a couple of pm's wanting to know how i am doing on the diet.
tomorrow starts week 4, and as of today i have lost 8 pounds.
the last time i tried to lose weight was on weight watchers and it took me about 4 months to lose 8 pounds and then nothing more would come off.

Hi Mulan,
I was wondering if you were still following the South Beach Diet and how your progress has been up to this point?
I'm on day two of the first two weeks, and based on the experiences I've read here, I'm looking forward to my progress. I've been gradually changing my diet over the last year to include more vegetables and less "junk" so now the shift to cutting out sugars and refined flour products is not too difficult for me.
Would love to hear how you're doing.

Too cool!
I'd really love to carve a pumpkin and roast the seeds. And I *so* want to give candy out this year.
I found some fun coloring pages online too, if you like that kinda thing!

What's going on with Witness World?

i've heard that it's changed hands and most of the jws are bailing... did someone from here take it over?.

Everyone,
Thanks for your replies. Yes, blondie had the correct URL to the site (sorry, Midget-Sasquatch, but thanks for that info!).
Devon,
If that's the case, how sad. It sure sends the clear message that being inactive is a shunning offense. Some can't get away quick enough, *so I heard*. :)

See my life through my eyes
by ballistic inwouldnt it be a strange thing if you could see someone elses life through your own eyes for a couple of hours.
not just a different life but seeing how other people experience life.
apparently, we all wire our brains up differently when growing.

ballistic,
An amazing thing, indeed. It's easy to forget that everyone's story is unique. This reminds me of the importance of practicing empathy... plus, you can gain so much from the experiences of others without having to spend another lifetime living it yourself.
