  i am, right now, watching vh-1's history of the jacksons and in particular, the charges filed against him.. they just showed how mrs. jackson became a devout jw, showed the kh, and a few wt mags.

  then, without expecting it, there was bill bowen!

  talking about the epidemic of abuse in this church.

  Interesting show.

  It's funny, but whenever I take in an "objective" view of the JWs, I feel the gap widening. It's like when things about JWs are discussed in the context of the real world, they really seem out of place.

  Years ago with my JW hat on, I would have found all kinds of fault with that show. Tonite it was much more surreal.

  Yeah, gotta agree with the mom stuff. It must be tough walking both sides of the fence.

  Thanks for starting this thread. I would have missed it otherwise.

  If it's a show I like, YEEHAWWW!

  We just got DTV with Sci-Fi, and I was elated to know about the Twilight Zone Marathon. We watched hours and hours of it. I haven't seen that show for tons of years! It was one of the JW "forbidden" things tossed about.

  I loved the show as a kid when I could watch it. Man, there were tons of episodes in the marathon I've never seen.

  Favorite line: "Push, push, push!"

  Poor guy with the broken glasses and all those books!

  I wish I had had different parents. As it is, although they are both still alive, I am an orphan.

  It's amazing at what a difference this factor alone can make in our lives.

  My feelings are similar, or perhaps I wish my parents were different people within themselves.
