I remember being told that going to AA meetings and getting with their program to quit drinking was not prohibited by the WTS. Of course many would frown upon it but bottom line was that drunkards will not inherit God’s kingdom. I was able to stop drinking (eighteen years ago) without AA but would have gone if it had been necessary. My life now is 1000% better then my life of drinking. Job advancement, no hangovers, better health, etc. And if I don’t inherit God’s kingdom it will be for reasons other than being a drunkard.

Are JW's allowed to go to Alcoholic's Anonomous?
by digderidoo ini went to an aa meeting tonight for the first time in a few weeks.
after about 6 weeks of attempting to control my drinking in a social way, i feel that it best to go the abstinence route as i wasn't really enjoying it.. anyway i got to thinking afterwards whether jw's are allowed to go to them?
i have heard how some elders disaprove of them because it's classed as a spriitual program.

More Evidence that Jehovah Is a Tyrant
by WTWizard ini have observed that jehovah god is far from the loving father he portrays himself to be.
stifling my sex drive, and then exploiting it by using it to get me into a cult, hardly qualifies god as being loving.
and neither does continuing to stifle the sex drive after i am trying to leave the cult and quite likely using the hounders to reclaim me as their slave.. i found another web site that any theist should urgently look up before looking into any religion, whether jehovah's witnesses or any other "christian" or islam religion.

Well Rapunzel, it's just more of the same from OBVES. It just reinforces my reasons for leaving the WT. This kind of thinking makes me ill. It is always the same glossing over reality that just amazes me. Always dancing around the real issues on the table.
If OBVES is dancing then he is doing a great job of it. He is hitting the head of the nail streight on and I respect him greatfully for that. I also think he is right.

Sunday's WT Study Article (May 18)
by FairMind inthis sundays watchtower lesson is titled who is wise and understanding among you?.
its mostly a rehash of past material concerning the need to be cooperative with fellow christians for the peace of the congregation.
however, i suspect that whole point of this study article is actually contained in paragraph 14 where it talks about elders who might be removed from their position if they are deemed by the body and the co as no longer meeting the scriptural qualifications laid out for the position.

However, I suspect that whole point of this study article is actually contained in paragraph 14 where it talks about elders who might be removed from their position if they are deemed by the body and the CO as no longer meeting the “scriptural qualifications laid out for the position. Most likely IMO this refers to elders with low field service hours. I believe the way is being paved for the removal of many elders in the near future. Of course if one is removed he will be “wise” to accept this decision without ill feeling.
What do you think?

The Bible is the greatest book ever written! It reveals the source and power behind everything that exists, what our relationship with that power is and what it can become. The wisdom in the Bible if followed will make one happy, healthy, well off and emotionally balanced. The problem of course is following Bible principles even when one knows them.

Cash in your IRA, CD
Actually not a bad idea. Why not spend the money before these negotiable instruments drop in value to the point you have nothing.

I swear i know this Don Cameron from someplace. he is from new england someplace? maybe ?
No, he is a US Citizen and I believe lives in the New England area. Some one on the "Channel C" website asked him this and what kind of doctorate he had. Turns out if I remeber correctly that he is a Doctor of Chiropractory. His book was great, extremely logical and objective.

Here is why. This is objective secular evidence. Long read but well worth it. Take time to notice that many of the predictions which are based on what is going on right now match perfectly with Jesus' answers to what would happen during the time of the end and the Great Tibulation. Don't mean to be an alarmist but the END is near.
