Brothers who were Gay but couldn't admit/accept it! Did you have some?
by Witness 007 ini have come to realize that being gay is something you are just born with....so why judge them if it's like being born a certain race.. a brother g_____ i knew was a zealous pioneer pushing 43 years old.
he never married though the sisters thought he was dreamy and he had plenty of offers....."she's not for me" he would always, many times tell me some excuse.
he loved to give only brothers a big hug...say if you gave a public talk or something.

As another poster stated its appears to be a genetic hormonal imbalance and not to be considered a sin as religion has said it is
So many JWs are homophobic but being gay is not a sin. As a CO once said to our congregation (we had an obviously gay brother with AIDs) "the sin is fornication not whether one is gay or streight".

I’ve written letters complaining about the elders and/or certain decisions the elders made. The responses I received from the Society opened my eyes to the fact that they were there to support the authority structure and not the individual.

JW's who are proud of their non-JW children
by JimmyPage inrecently my brother took the speaker and his wife out for lunch.
i was visiting my bro at the time so i tagged along.
during the course of the meal the couple started talking about their kids.

It's like they are saying, since they are not a JW, I am sooooo glad they are successful in the "world"
This is the attitude the organization should have and not just for non-JW kids. Seems as if the only choice the WTS offers kids is to make the preaching work the focal point of their lives. Why can't they say that if one isn't going to pioneer it is better to become educated and make something out of your self rather than be a zero (which is what many JW kids become).

Personal finance points to remember (point # 5): Borrowing money
by JimmyPage inborrow money only for investments (good debt)- for purchasing things that retain and hopefully increase in value over the long term, such as an education, real estate, or your own business.. don't borrow money for consumption (bad debt)- for spending on things that decrease in value and eventually become worthless, such as cars, clothing, vacations, and so on..

I agree with your advice and this is how I handle my finances. Many people find paying cash for an automobile to be very difficult. The solution is once an automobile loan is paid off, keep the car and keep making the payment to a savings account.. Next time you need a car you will have the cash including the interest the savings earned.

My wife and I were denied the "privlege" of being married in a Kongdom Hall and neither of us had ever been told we were not in good standing. It hurt my wife deeply but only angerd me. I believe beyond the shadow of a doubt that it was payback for my having stood up to the Elders when they initially decided I wasn't free to marry. I produced a WT "Question From The Readers" answer that addressed an issue exactly like mine. The Societies answer to the reader's question was that they were free to scripturally marry. This happened 12 years ago and I've been in the WT doghouse ever since.

I am not saying this is the norm among witnesses but it does happen a lot.
What's a lot? Is it as often as happens in other religons? As often as society in general? Is it 10% of the JWs, 5% less than 1%. Your statement seems pretty definate so I would imagine you have the figures to support it.
