You feel guilty for enjoying yourself.
dh, perfect!
you know that d.c. isn?t the capital where the president of the united states lives .
a pioneer isn?t an 1800?s historical figure who traveled the west.
the majority of books in your parent?s bookshelf have years on them.
You feel guilty for enjoying yourself.

Well...probably not, IronGland, not because you're not worth it, but because it's a bizarre notion!
poor thing, she's had alzheimer's for about 10 years and the last year she's been on hospice care because she's been so close to death.
the past few months she's been slowly filling up with water -- they gave her lasix (not sure of the spelling) to relieve the edema and it worked, sort of.
last weekend she actually looked a little better.
I'm sorry you've lost your mother Nina...life is so short and unpredictable...but I'm very sure you were a wonderful daughter to her always.
it'll be 21 years ago since my dad died.. i remember it vividly.
i got into work to find a message to ring my mum urgently.
she told me he'd had a massive cardiac infarction and died at 9.30 that morning.
Ahh, Englishman,
He was a good man. He defied the Matlock JC on several occasions so that DF'ings didn't occur. He really believed that he was "in the truth". He drank double Carlsberg Specials with a Southern Comfort chaser, loved Beethoven, played Glen Miller on the piano, never missed Match of the Day, cheered for Bolton Wanderers and adored my Mum to bits.
The month before he died, still a PO, he took me out for a drink, gave me hug and told me I would always be his son no matter that I was DF'd.
He was a great fella and I miss him.
Englishman.
I wish I'd known him. What a fine man.
And I agree with Kate.
call me neurotic, but i struggle with this question, i do.
it grips me late at night when my normally agile typing fingers hesitate, unsure, before the name of a poster that is lowercase, but which i want to use at the beginning of a sentence.
for example, take my name, seattleniceguy.

Well, this has bothered me too, not only at the beginning of the sentence, but also midsentence.
Seattleniceguy, you are such a fantastic poster; really, I find no one else who says things quite like you do. And now, I find no one else who says things THAT apparently only you, and maybe funkyderek, would care to say!
All I know about this most important use of English written grammar is, as long as both seattleniceguy and funkyderek continue to post here, the rest does not matter, and I'm happy.
