Well I've noticed the increase in activity too; I've always been amazed at how fast this board moves; but lately I'll find 3-4 comments have been posted just while I type one quick post.
It's really booming.
(edited to add: well, ok, only 2 or 3 comments right now! But many more whenever I spend time reading a short to medium thread!)

How do you women feel about acting stupid to please men and the borg?
by Dragonlady76 inthe quote below was part of a talk in the 90's.
i heard this as a child and thought to myself, how can any woman accept such a draconian veiw?
i was not sure if i had understood correctly so, i brought it up to my bible study conductor maggie, i was appalled that she agreed with this veiw, we debated it back and forth, until i got the upper hand, then she told me that i was to "rebellious and strong willed", and that i "should never get married", that i way i would not have to submit to male "headshit" "headship".

I find I do tend to act "uninformed" in the presence of people I feel have fragile egos. It's a silly thing to do. But I never do it around strong people. I love to stick it to them whenever the opportunity arises. It's just fun! Generally they like it too.

I'm shocked! Robert Blake Acuitted of Murder - wow what do you think?
by confusedjw inrobert blake acquitted of murder
by greg risling .
los angeles (ap) - a jury acquitted tough-guy actor robert blake of murder wednesday in the shooting death of his wife four years ago, bringing a stunning end to a case that played out like pulp fiction.

I was not sorry he got off. There was just something about the feel of the whole thing. Too weird, such a seedy bunch of people. And Robert loved that baby girl.
The defense called it a weak case built largely on the testimony of the two stuntmen - both of whom were once heavy drug users.
No eyewitnesses, blood or DNA evidence linked Blake to the crime. The murder weapon, found in a trash bin, could not be traced to Blake, and witnesses said the minuscule amounts of gunshot residue found on Blake's hands could have come from a different gun he said he carried for protection.
``They couldn't put the gun in his hand,'' jury foreman Thomas Nicholson told reporters outside court, adding that the evidence could ``never connect all the links in the chain.''
Prosecutors said Blake believed his wife trapped him into a loveless marriage by getting pregnant. They said Blake soon became smitten with the baby, Rosie, and desperately wanted to keep the child away from Bakley, whom he considered an unfit mother.
Bakley had been married several times, had a record for mail fraud and made a living scamming men out of money with nude pictures of herself and promises of sex.

Is obesity a disability?
by Sadie5 inhi all, just dropping by and throwing out a question or two.. two of our department managers are both very obese and therefore cannot do all the tasks that their positions require of them.
as a result of that, the peak time workers, those working while the store is most busiest, end of doing a lot of the physical work they leave for us.
it gets pretty hectic when people are trying to shop and we are getting out ladders and stocking shelves.

These gals buy potato chips and candy bars every day and act offended if you mention weight loss to them. Should their obesity be treated like a disability?
IMO, no special consideration should be given to the ladies whatsoever. It's their choice to work there.
What you say about the learning impaired gal is sad.

Heroes and Villains For the Braindead
by Farkel inheroes and villains for the braindead.
in a typical action movie, suspense movie or western, there are only heroes and villains.
the heroes can do nothing but good and the villains can do nothing but bad.

immidiately, her "my book of bible stories" jumped out at me.
her table was covered with printed propaganda.
